Nice and bright. What yarn did you use? Thank you for the pattern.

This is GREAT! I had been looking for a ripple pattern for months and the ones I found didn't call out to me, but yours did!

so this is my blanket:

it's not completed yet, but I'm only a few ripples away :D

also in ravelry I have some more photos, bad quality though, from the cell

Louise randall

can i ask how many foundation stiches you used to make a blanket?

I just love everything you do, I was doing a bookmark with just a few of these stitches, and it just wasn't clear..now I will do it. Your blog was so good today. Rasies my spirits. Do show us the castle, I love castles. Lois from North Carolina

Lucy, thank you SO much for this pattern! My grandma used to make ripples so they're special to me, but I could never follow the patterns. Yours is so clear and your photos are so helpful, I was able to pick it up right away--and then use it to make a baby blanket for my cousin's new baby. Thank you, thank you!

thanks for the ripple pattern.. take a look at my pillow, i used your pattern... love it and enjoy doing it alot... thanks again...you're my inspiration..

Thank you!Very beatifully.Super!!!Olga

Maybe I counted wrong. I don't know. Sorry for types (14 x19+3) for the bed. That equals upto 269 for the foundation chain. I had to undo 3 rows and chain & count all over again. Very frustrating, but it has to be done. I just hope I did it right this time. Only time will tell. lol

I have been crocheting since I was 15 yrs. old. I know how to read most patterns. I love it.
I printed out the instructions. I have done the whole (14 X ? +3) but I did it (14 X19=3)so it fits my bed. The 1st problem I am having is when you look at intstructions I don't know whether you are doing only 31 (14X2+3) multiple times and then sewing them together or just doing what I did (14 X ?+3) one single long chain for it. 2nd problem is when I get to the end of the pattern of the blanket I am having the next 4 stitches + 1 MORE extra stitches then the end 2 to form the V. What did I do wrong? If you would please email me I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you!

Thank you for your generous tutorials. It is absolutely fantastic! I have begun to make a ripple blanket like yours. I am looking forward to your next updating.
Many thanks,Lucy-san!

I love this! I've already picked out my yarn, and made my sample ripple. I can't wait to have a rippled blanket at the end of my bed!

Thanks so much for posting such clear instructons.
I love this blanket. It has completely distracted me from what I'm supposed to be doing - http://topstitched.wordpress.com/2009/06/29/i-have-socked/
Here is my attempt so far in gifted wool, just the very first few stripes but so addictive already

Thanks so much - I have been wanting to tackle a ripple & haven't crocheted forever. Your pics and instructions look great so I am pressing PRINT and going to the yarn shop now!

thanks again

Thank you! I've been considering making one of these, and as I have a ton of Cascade 220 that I didn't use for the potholder swap, I think it's time!

Hi there lucy, what a great blog! I truly enjoy reading about your projects and your tutorials are great. I live in South Africa and you have inspired me so much that I recently visisted my local wool (yarn) shop and bought two huge bags full, then taught myself how to crochet and have now finished my first blanket! I work full time but sit every night until the wee hours playing!!! Please do not stop to inspire us!
