This is a great lesson. Love the bright flower and I hope I can make some.

Hi,

I am reading the directions for the HAPPY FLOWER Decoration on your website.

In looking your ST stitch conversions, UK to US, you give the directions for the UK DC then note that it is the same as US SC. That IS INCORRECT. It is the same as the US DC.

Hi Lucy..

What is the size of Crochet needle you used?

I love this pattern. I am not very experienced, but found the tutorial made it easy and also great fun to do.
Lucy, I will gladly pay for it. I guess there will be a link to contribute somewhere on your website? One question about the stiffening: I made rather a mess of the glueing by put it on too thickly (in spite of what you said!). Do you think an strong interfacing would do the same job? Otherwise I will proceed doing my second Happy Flower ..... and Happy it looks, too!
Many thanks

Biggan Ryd-Dups

Dear Lucy,
What a stunning design you have created with this flower ornament. One day I hope to be able to make one myself, when I have time! In the meantime you might be interested to view my colourful merino yarn in 64 brilliant colours on www.biggandesign.com, You must love colour and to create beautiful crochet or/and knits as much as I do. And what a brilliant instructor you are!
With kind regards,

Wow, you invested a LOT of time in describing this free pattern! Very generous, thank you. I made one very similar to the example which I will give away tomorrow. I love working with beads and crocheting is an old hobby I took up again recently. Such fun!

Hi Lucy, I'm an experienced crocheter, but I have to say that occasionally you show me a new technique - and I just love that! I skip over the easy bits :) As for the newbies, I hope you all appreciate the hard work that Lucy puts into this because I can see how much work is involved.
I've created my own patterns (before webcam) and even doing the text, checking it, ensuring it's understandable, is all very time consuming. So good on you Lucy, for providing valuable & interesting tutorials. You're a star *!!

Ooopppsss!!!! There are a few spelling mistakes in the post above written by myself. I should have looked at the preview before posting!!!!????
I meant that the reverse of the flower felt very rough after the PVA glue had dried!!??

Tracy Nowlan

Phi I made your flower decoration today!!!!! I am a novice at crochet but your tutorial was fantastic, I was able to follow it and learnt to do a few new stitches!!!!! Many thanks to you for this. The only slight downfall for me was how fought he reverse of my flower felt after it had dried. Probably down to the glue? I used PVA
I shall be trying some of your other items as well. Many thanks Tracy x

Lone

Hello Lucy, I have been through your tutorials for quite sometime now and I should say that You are so amazingly creative and very kind to share your love for crochet through this. Am definitely inspired by your work, even though a beginner I wish that someday I would create a blog for myself to spread the love for Crochet.

Thank you for sharing Creativity, Thank you for every kind gesture you display here.

Gratefully,
Gayathri
