Good morning (evening for you) Lucy! I've just spent a luxuriating time in bed catching up on your blogs! It's 9.16am and I never stay in bed that long! It's been lovely however and lovely to catch up on your comings and goings.

I'm so sorry to hear about J's health scare recently. That must have been awfully frightful for you all and I'm sorry that you had to go through that ❤️.

Amsterdam looks absolutely lovely! All the canals, plants and flowers! I think every city should look like that 😊

We are in spring time now although the weather could be more spring like (pretty please weather gods!) I'm pleased to see my grape vine has survived the winter months and is now sprouting new leaves. Hmmm I wonder if we might get fruit this year? It's only a young vine, newly planted last spring so it may not fruit for a while.

I planted an array of different coloured violas at the front of our house for a bit of winter cheer at the start of winter but some naughty butterfly must have laid eggs as throughout the whole winter my violas were being munched on, leaving only a few millimetres of flower on each stalk! Violas are my favourite flowers they look so cheerful and thankfully Im starting to see nearly whole flowers on the stalks! Every time I grow violas I plan to snip some flowers and freeze them in ice cubes for spring/summer drinks. I havent managed to do that yet but online they look so pretty floating in the glass. I hope you managed to go back and get your £5 bucket of violas 😊🌸

I have started a granny square blanket which I'm regretting if I'm honest. It's my first granny square blanket and oh all those ends 😭 and blocking of each square 😭 It cost me a lot of money to buy the wool so I'm persevering and it will look lovely once it becomes a blanket 😍

We went to a posh restaurant a couple of nights ago (called Onslow and its in Auckland, NZ where I live). It was my daughters 25th birthday. We don't usually spend that kind of money on eating out so it was a real treat. The food was amazing as was the experience. The person who owns the restaurant was trained by Gordon Ramsay! Who knew a chef from this side of the world would be trained by such a famous chef!

Well that's my little update for now. I'm so glad to see that you're back in blog land regularly! I can understand why you take a break in the summer. There's always so much going on.

I wish you and J a very belated happy wedding anniversary! Much love to you Lucy! Angela xx❤️❤️

To die for! What a lovely time you all had. I would love to read a post about Portugal Thanks for finding the time to write your posts. I do so enjoy them.

Gina in alabama

Maryna Opalieva

Love, love, love, the blue and white! But Lucy, Lucy, what are you doing to me - all the colours of Marrakesh are calling me to a future workshop of yours in sunny climes! Are you sure you’re not on tour operator commission??!! Have been gently toying with one of your Stitchtopia trips for a while, but the toying is now dangerously close to an itch that much be scratched! Thank you for keeping me cheerful through a difficult time.

Barbara

You must have been in your element with all that colour around. Such beautiful zingy squares. I love them. B x

Such a wonderful colourful crochet retreat‼️‼️ Lucy, it's always such a pleasure to travel 10574km to see & learn from you! Well, the travel's dreadful, but catching up with you & your creativity makes the 'pain' worth it!
Thank you so much for another marvellous immersion in colour, crochet, culture. It's so special that we make new crafty companions, too, brought together by your unique talent❣️ 👏😍

So many gorgeous pics!! So much color and yet, what caught my eye was in the second Morocco pic — I believe it is a silk fabric hanging that is in shimmery stripes of silver, gold, copper and brown/bronze!! Breathtaking!!

Jane

Gorgeous colours and such a pretty design. Thanks for sharing Lucy x

Marisa

I enjoyed very much today’s post. So many colours! It is so beautiful! I want to do those little color squares too! Thanks for sharing!

Michelle Gladwish

Oh my the colours are beautiful but I love the blue and white. Simple but so so effective. Thank you for sharing it with us.

Lynne

The blue and white square reminds me of Delftware but my heart wants All The Colors! 😁
Thank you for sharing your Morocco adventure with us as well

Becki

Wow Lucy it looks absolutely gorgeous there! Love your Sunny Days squares and all of the other things that were made with them too. Such pretty little cotton yarns and the woven bowls are so stunning aren’t they. I would find it so hard to choose just one! 🤣 Another wonderful post, thank you Lucy, love and hugs xxx 🥰🤗

Debbi Robertson

Those colours are magnificent! It must have been close to mind-blowing for you!

It was a truly amazing holiday. Great company, crafting, colours and experiences. Thank you Lucy for the teaching and enthusiasm. I learnt so much about colour and the creative process as well as the culture of Morocco.

Geeha

My parents celebrated their Silver Wedding Anniversary in Morocco in 1974. I never found out why it was their choice for a first holiday outside the British Isles and never followed in their footsteps but this made me realise why it was a great start to many years of travelling all round the world for a Somerset farmer and teacher. You are a truly inspirational teacher and mentor.

Veronica Howard

Wonderful colours and memories. Thank you Lucy

Linda

What a lovely colourful post. It makes Britain look quite dull in comparison.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts and photos. Linda x
