....a small, teeny-tiny, tentative wave from me hiding here in the Attic....
....and a huge, heart felt apology too. I'm sorry to have been in hiding for so long, it's been a strange ol' time of late. I generally don't feel like a blogger/creator needs to apologise for being absent, but in this case I do really feel like I owe you a sorry. I should not have stayed away for so long and it's not been my intention to worry you.
I don't really know how to articulate what's been occurring with me, it's been sort of a snowball of emotions and fears and personal struggles and honestly I've not been in the brightest of places the past few months. But I don't want to bring all that anxiety here to my beloved Attic space, which is somehow what kept me away for so long.
I am turning a corner I hope, the lightness beginning to peek through again. It's been a bumpy ride!
Anyhow....thank you so much for calling in, do leave me a note and tell me how you've been? I'm off on my travels tomorrow, off to teach my fourth crochet retreat of the year and I'm excited for it.
I shall chat to you some more once I'm back in a week, thank you for always showing up for me here, I do so appreciate you all,
With much love from me to you xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Lucy, please know that you have brought me (and so many others) so much joy and also comfort through your blog over the years. I wish I could offer you just a little of the same in return - I don’t have a blog but sometimes when we’re out walking, down here on the south coast, I think of the walks that you share with us and it reminds me to treasure our walks; I recently started cross stitching and was working on a piece with multicoloured birdies, and your lovely decorated mantelpiece popped into my head! Please don’t feel any rush to come back to the blog, but know we’re here if you ever feel like it x

Hello Lucy, so sorry you are going through a very difficult time. While missing your posts (especially your lovely colourful photographs of your daily doings, I appreciate there are some times in life when you only have energy to put one foot in front of another. And sometimes not even that! You don't have to apologise for being absent...but there are lots of us out here thinking of you and sending love.
I have been going through similar problems to those you faced last year. Finding a residential home for my Mom; emptying and selling her home to pay the fees. It's thoroughly rubbish, isn't it? Love, Charlotte x

There are times in life where everything is just…difficult.
We will be here, wishing you well, and waiting until blogging is part of your life again. I still have so much to learn from all of the patterns and tutorials in your library, you really have given so much. I am actually on the very last round of my Sungold blanket, and I have enjoyed it thoroughly. Thank you.

Missing you. Hope the retreats went well and were calming to your soul. Looking forward to photos and news as it ALWAYS brightens the little corner of my world.
Days are getting shorter and crochet is my favorite fall/winter thing. I will be working on a granny patchwork this year with your Sunny Log Cabin pack. I hope to start when I return from a jaunt to the UK late September. Will be a few nights in Skipton. Cannot wait to see the beauty in person where you live! Take good care.

Dear Lucy - I have just seen the photo of your stunning dusty pinky flower>square blanket that your shared on insta and am hoping it is a sign that you have a twinkle of joy in your life. Also hoping that it might be a pattern that you are going to share....
Thank you for always welcoming us into your Attic sanctuary even when you're not feeling up to it. There is a lot of love here. But no pressure.
Sunshine and hugs x

Good day…..I am an artist living on St.Croix in the US Virgin Islands. I make all kinds of arts and crafts especially with crotchet. I am quite inspired by your mandala designs.
I posted a comment on your “positivity” mandala blog.
I would like to make mini mandala crotchet circles using your design!
They are awesome!!

Hello Lucy. Thank you for inspiring me to start crochet. You are right you don’t need to explain absence or apologise either. I think you may be on a dementia in the family journey and I can say from experience it is not easy. Be strong and stitch on xxx

Sending you a wave back, take in the sunsets and each day begins again. Love all that you do, your blog and patterns have helped me (and by the looks of it so many more!) through low ebbs in life, so thank you for all that you do.

Hi Lucy--I've been making some baby blankets using your Meadow Cosy stripe pattern, though not as many colors, lol. They are going to the new mothers attending high school in my area. Thanks so much for all your generous sharing of your time & talents with us over the years.Your blog helped me through my husband's passing, 15 years ago. Take good care of yourself dear. All lives have stages, so don't fret about that. hugs to you and your family from California.

I just get the feeling you are not planning to carry on blogging. I am very sorry if you are having a very difficult time in your life, but please be honest with us.

Bisous
Sonia

Hello Lucy,
How are you?
Sending you lots of love and hugs. I have recently started the Starbright blanket and the colours are just gorgeous, I was apprehensive to start as I didn’t want to mess it up but the squares are so easy to do and make it an absolute joy to do. I am in love with it.
I am missing your blogging but you must be kind to yourself and we will be waiting for you when you are ready.
Lots of love
Kerry xx
