Blogtober Day 1 :: Sunday
I think I mentioned last week before I dashed off to Dorset that the start of October would see me opening my Attic window to you every single day. I'm excited to be joining in with Blogtober again - a blog post every day during October. This will be my third year taking part in this rather crazy challenge as I did it in 2020 and again in 2021, missing last year because I was away in Carcassonne during October which put daily blogging just out of reach. I'm genuinely looking forward to it, even though it's not an especially easy thing to do, and I hope you'll be able to join me as I chit chat my way through these early autumn days.
Today's photos are from our morning walk at Bolton Abbey. It's been a warm, grey, and very humid day and there was an eerie low mist hanging above the surface of the river when we arrived to walk. It felt a bit gloomy in the woods to be honest, with very low light levels and everything damp and soggy....but it still felt remarkably good to be out there breathing it in.
I've been feeling especially tired the past few days after my lengthy travel hours to Dorset and back, but I'm happy to be home again and easing myself into a brand new season. Autumn isn't my favourite, but I do try and embrace the beautiful changes in nature and the cosy vibes at home as the days shorten.
I hope you've had a lovely day whether you've been out and about or cosying up at home - see you again tomorrow...

I want to share a live testimony on how Dr Mack was able to bring my husband back to me, myself and my husband were on a serious breakup, even before then we were always quarreling fighting and doing different ungodly act.. My husband packed his things out of the house and we had to live in different area, despite all this i was looking for a way to re_unite with my husband, not until i met Dr Mack the great spell caster who was able to bring my husband back home, and he assured me that my husband will come back to me within 48hours hours after he has finish the preparation of the love spell.I am very glade today to tell the world that Doctor Mack is truly a man of his word because my husband came back to me and fell on his knees begging me to forgive him and accept him back…. Today my family is back again and we are happy living fine and healthy, with Dr Mack all my dream came through in re_uniting my marriage, i will forever recommend you!!!
THANKS______ DR_MA Ck”” Y AH O O....COM ,……………………………………..

After a chaotic week, here I am plonked in bed ready to catch up on Blogtober! About 30 years ago I bought an old Fleetwood Mac album called Bare Trees. The album cover is a scene of a foggy forest (from memory). On rare occasions when I am in a forest of some kind on a cloudy day, when everything is a little dewy and moist, it's cloudy and the birdlife is a little quieter than usual, it reminds me of that album cover and the delicious early 70s sounds on the album. I just love it!

Hello, I just found your blog (& love it obvs) but typepad isn't accepting new members, I can't Pin your hexagon pattern, social media isn't a nice place to be, & you don't send out emails.
How on earth am I supposed to follow you? I don't have the kind of memory anymore to come & read regularly lol.
Any help would be appreciated 💜

Beautiful pictures as always and a very sweet blog too. Rest and you will be back to normal before you know it. Travel is always tiring.

Thank you. As your days shorten, mine are lengthening. We started daylight saving this last weekend. Need to do a bit of thinking for my crochet so I am doing some mindless beanie knitting while I rest. I will go back to it soon. :-)

Loved your woodland photographs, reminds me how little exploring and adventuring I've done these last few years. Sorry to hear of your family difficulties. Hope you found your walk restorative.

Hope you soon feel well rested after your emotional time in Dorset. It is never easy to watch someone you love fight against an awful disease. I lost my mum in 2019 and it still upsets me to think about that time. My heart goes out to you and yours.

Your pictures have become better and better over the years. And why not? That eye of yours sees in any medium. I very much appreciate that you share the beauty that is your part of England. I love the lush greens and the abundance of water there. So very different than in my part of the world. I'm not complaining though --SoCal has its charms too. Hope your vim and vigor returns soon. In the meantime, be good to yourself.

I'm glad you're getting some rest. This season of life when we're taking care of everyone else is very hard.
