Hello!

About Me

  • Thank you so much for visiting me in the Attic, it's lovely to see you. My name is Lucy and I'm a happily married Mum with three children. We live in a cosy terraced house on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales in England which we are slowly renovating and making home. I have a passion for crochet and colour and love to share my creative journey. I hope you enjoy your peek into my colourful little world x

Beautiful pics Lucy 💛…loving these daily postcards .
If you walked the coastal path between Abbotsbury and West Bexington you will have passed the beautiful thatched cottage on the right of the path where we had two wonderful holidays many years before we moved to Dorset.
You really couldn’t have picked a better week …enjoy the rest of your stay and the soaking up of all that Vitamin Sea ☺️

What a glorious day -- top to bottom! From first to last, your photos took my breath away. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you for the daily posts. I love them. I'm glad you're having a nice vacay.

You were so fortunate to have the bluest skies imaginable! Thank you for sharing these gorgeous scenes with us.

Hi Lucy, the first photo of the poppies made me think of a Monet painting of a poppy field. He is probably my favourite artist. I live a bit further along the coast at Exmouth and yes, the weather has been glorious this week albeit with a bit of an easterly breeze. I’m afraid I don’t always appreciate living in this beautiful part of the country until I see it through someone else’s eyes. Thank you for sharing your ‘postcards’.

I'm exhausted but really inspired from reading about your 10 mile hike. Gorgeous views & happy adventures. I can see another blanket there with the blue skies, those flowers & golden colours of thirst quenching brew! They must be included.
Enjoy the rest of your holidays & looking forward to tomorrow's post card!
Hugs from a cold damp wintry Melbourne xx

Loving your postcards. I’m ‘down under’ and wake up each morning to your daily postcard. The temperature at 21 sounds just right and a just under 10 mile walk sounds amazing. So lovely when our older children join in and reminisce. Makes us feel like we did something right bringing them up 😂 thank you Lucy 🥰

Susan

I've loved it too and thanks for taking us along. Most the wild gladioli are the small ones, but seem to make us notice them more than the larger showy ones when they grow en-masse. What a great time away you are having. Take care & hugs from a wet/windy down under....again today.

Linda from Boston

The purple glads are gorgeous!!!!! And that blue sky! Here in New England our skies have been hazy; first from wild fires in Alberta, Canada, if you can believe it, and now Nova Scotia. Adds to all the tree pollen!! Enjoying your postcards a lot.

Louise

What a glorious gladioli day! I had one of those drinks for the first time recently in France (I think). It was listed as a 'Panaché' on the menu, and we thought, "Ooh, how exotic!" It turned out to be a shandy! But it was delicious!

Sally Spragg

Wow that blue sky! We only had thick clouds until about 4pm. Plus it’s been so windy and chilly! That coastline is gorgeous! Enjoy it all.x
