I have learned to love the long winters especially as i can do more knitting and quilting in the colder seasons than I do in the sunny ones. Being a sun lover myself, I have found I enjoy the Summers so much more when I have also enjoyed the winters. A time to take it slower and make things.

Love & gentle hugs from Sydney - hope your well-being continues. Feel sorry for me - colon/gastroscopy next week! As always, the lead-up will be the worst! Love your blogs & pix.🥰👌👋😘

So glad you’re on the mend, with spring just around the corner to look forward to. I’m glad you took time to look after you. Just remember not to overdo things for a while!! Love from Scarborough, Queensland, Australia

I'm sorry to hear you've been sick. Sick sucks. That's all there is to it. I had a cold last year, and it knocked me over worse than covid! Sometimes we have to sink back into the pillows and just rest. Which is really hard to do, yeah? Love all the photos of your beautiful region. We're going to be up in your part of the world in a couple of months so I've told my husband that we must go and visit Yorkshire. It's always been a 'must see' if ever I went to the UK. Take care and soak up the healing vibes. Xox

So glad you're feeling better!

Sorry to hear you've been unwell, but hopefully now on the mend. Loved hearing about your dealing with it and funny you mentioned your Dune blanket, as that is the one I'm doing now. Please take care, stay warm & big hugs from down under.

Glad you’re on the mend. It’s no fun being sick. I finished the Springfrost blanket and started a Dune lap throw …….. cuz I need SOMETHING for my hands to do!!! Using up my yarn stash …… but (you know where this is going),
I need MORE colors. So, I placed an order Monday night with our friends at Wool Warehouse. Well, it’s with the courier today and will be here this afternoon. I just don’t know how they do it!! Love that Dune pattern. Be well. ♥️

Hello Lucy from Northern California! Thank you for sharing your journey and reminding me that the winter months are more than grit-my-teeth and endure it! Here we are so tired of the snow and the damage winter storms have caused. But I can see signs of spring which gives me hope! Best Wishes to you and your family ❤️

Glad you are on the mend. The colours on the circular cushion look so lovely and rich - totally pleasing 😊

So glad you are feeling better! Spring is less than two weeks away so its coming. Blossoms and sunshine are on the way for you! Remember to be kind to you!

Happy to hear you are doing better. I had the same thing a couple of weeks ago here in Canada, so I can relate. I like you, feel comfort in the soft things, in creating, and am trying to embrace the notion of rest in the dark season...but looking forward to spring!

Lots of love from the Netherlands

I’m glad you feel somewhat better. So many people here in the US have had many varied bugs this past winter. I’ve escaped from getting sick so far. Please rest and know that we are waiting here for you to get back to your lovely walks.

Take care Lucy so glad to hear you are feeling better. I am working on the Spring Frost blanket in colours I had in my stash it is very slow as I have trouble with my shoulder when I crochet but I am really enjoying the pattern, I haven’t crocheted for a while so it’s nice to have a blanket on the go even if it is a bit slow. Look after yourself Lucy it’s snowy and raining at the moment but Spring must be round the corner. Thank you for a lovely pattern which has got me crocheting again. Best wishes to you Lucy., Marjorie

Take care, dear. As you probably already understood we love your little colourful blogs. Don't want to miss out on them.

So glad to hear you are feeling better, Lucy!

It's lovely to see you back again and I'm glad you're feeling better. It can feel like hard work resting sometimes, can't it, but it's got to be done! :) xx

I was walking in your footsteps yesterday after an impromptu reroute home from Wetherby via Skipton. It's was pretty butter but had a lovely wander round the town, market and canal basin, etc. Would love to come back. Couldn't find your coffee shop but had a lovely cappuccino anyway near the canal.Thought the Oxfam bookstore was exceptional. Hope your improvement remains on the upward trajectory.

Good to hear you are getting better.i love your stories and pictures, it gives us an image of your life.
After finishing the springfrost blanket I am now using the left overs by making your bloom cushion and again I do love the result. Thank you for these beautiful patterns.

I'm so glad you're feeling better. It sounds as though you were hit pretty hard. Take good care with your recovery x
