❤ Slow mornings :: waking without an alarm, bringing coffee back to bed and waiting for the daylight to creep in.
❤ Cosy nights :: our heavy winter feather duvet, brushed cotton Christmas bedding and a layer of colourful crochet. Cosy nights and early mornings.
❤ Seasonal snacks :: endless juicy clementines, a real favourite of the winter season.
❤ Morning walks :: walking round our quiet residential streets as the sun rises, enjoying some gentle exercise and fresh air.
❤ Food shopping :: Christmas eve early morning visit to the market for our fresh fruit and veggies. Cute little Chantenay carrots and the most beautiful purple brussels sprouts made me so happy!
❤ Decorating :: very low key this year, I decked out our main mantel and called it a day.
❤ Festive Florals :: my favourite potted hyacinths are just coming into flower for Christmas, a delectable pale pink.
❤ Bauble delight :: enjoying the colours of Christmas, these jewel brights always make me giddy with joy.
❤ New decorations :: remembering I snaffled up some cut price decorations in the Oxfam New Year sale - love them.
❤ Family traditions :: can't ever forget the candy canes, the Little People tell me they are essential.
❤ Happy Tenth Birthday! :: My over-the-top wreath is a decade old, and I love it more than ever.

Just a few snaps from the past week, it's been an utter delight to lean into these slow days of family time, enjoying familiar traditions and gentle routines. It's Christmas Eve and we're all cosied in here at number twenty four (well my oldest two offspring are out on the town), the fire is lit and I'm actually feeling pretty sleepy and ready for bed even though it's only 9pm. Honestly I am content right down to my bones and really looking forward to the day tomorrow, good food, family time and cosy vibes.
Sending lots of happiness out to you, I hope this season brings you comfort and joy in abundance,

Merry Christmas and a blessed year ahead. ♥️
