Happy New Year, Lucy, and to your lucky family who get to live surrounded in all the colorful warmth you create.
It's a miserable rainy cold day here in Western Canada (British Columbia), and coming to your blog has filled me with inner warmth and happiness.
I've been a long time follower.
You're a strong woman, Lucy.

wonderful, warm cosy wishes for the new year Lucy ,
lovely post as always, enjoy your instagram feed too...i just feel snow around Christmas is just right , just how it should be...we usually get a dusting around February but was delighted to have actual proper snow during december and the Morning of new years...but glad its not about for my stevie drive back to work today across the moorlands.
i had a catch up on my blog today...when i look back through this years posts i see so much positivity despite it being quite a surreal challenging year...I always see that in your uplifting posts Lucy...so much beauty and colour.

Happy New Year, Lucy. Glad you had a happy "Twixmas." I also have always loved the week between Christmas and New year, a quiet space just to be. When I was a child it was the time for my friends and I to play with new Christmas presents before having to go back to school. I recently heard someone refer to it as "Old Year Week", which I also think is a nice description.

Hope you find a repair man soon.

Happy New Year to you and all your family and thank you for all the pleasure I get from reading your blog.

Thank you for sharing. I do wish that I had such a great place to walk. Our twixmas has been okay. Christmas Eve was very warm and we had a 56 degree temperature drop for Christmas Day. So very glad that I had purchased and crocheted those blanket kits. Personally looking forward to a better year to come but our country doesn;t seem to have a great handle on the Covid problem as is with the UK. I look forward to your sharing and wish you all the best in 2021. As I write this it is already 2021 in the Attic !!!!

Hoping this comment will appear as I've had trouble with them on your blog. Thanks for the lovely scenes around The Dales & talking about how you've coped through this year. Thanks for a lovely blog & Hopeful New Year to you and your family. Take care & huggles from down under.

Thank you for your lovely posts Lucy you have been wonderfully inspiring in so many ways.I would never have believed that I could manage to crochet anything let alone the blanket that I made for my daughter. Very happy 2021 to you and yours Lucy...

Thank you for everything you give us throughout the year....

Thanks again for the lovely posts & photos for another year! Here is hoping you can find a boiler repairman soon. We would never survive any time without heating in an Ottawa winter.

Our province is also back in lockdown for a month as of Boxing Day. The UK seems to be on track to vaccinate everyone there soon. I'm hoping we will reach that point soon in Canada.

Wishing everyone a healthier and safer 2021!

Twixmas is the perfect time to celebrate betwixt the blankets!

Oh no! What a time to have the boiler shut down! Thank goodness your house is filled to the brim with blankets to keep warm, the fire roaring. We've emergency services here, not cheap but they work all holidays, I needed them at the first of January ones. Hope all gets sorted out soon and your house will be toasty warm. It's a joy to live in the countryside.

Thanks for all the beautiful pictures of the Yorkshire countryside. Happy and safe New Year to everyone at Attic 24 and hope your boiler is fixed very soon x

Dear Lucy, I did giggle to myself when I first saw the title of your post the first thing that popped into my head was you had indulged in some Twix fix over Christmas 🤣😂🤣. Just goes to show how my brain works. Wishing you all the very best for 2021.

Hi Lucy,so sorry to hear your boiler has decided to do the dirty on you!!!Why do they never stop working in the Summer?😡Never heard the word Twixmas before but I like it. We usually put our decs away on New year's day or the day after. I always love how big it makes my house feel. Im a bit of a minimalist,so that's were we differ!😂I wish you and your Family a Happy and healthy 2021.Stay safe. Love from Us in Dudley.xx
