About Me

  • Hello! Thank you so much for visiting me in the Attic, it's lovely to see you. My name is Lucy and I'm a happily married Mum with three children. We live in a cosy terraced house on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales in England which we are slowly renovating and making home. I have a passion for crochet and colour and love to share my creative journey. I hope you enjoy your peek into my colourful little world x

Hello Lucy
I too have been following your daily feed and blogs over the years but have never commented. I’ve tackled many of your projects made so much easier with pictures. But I wanted to say what a saviour your daily posts are now. I’m Irish but in Palestinian and love seeing the coziness of the wet and windy weather and the fire lighting. We are in the heat and a second lockdown for the past few months and I keep your post as my daily treat with a coffee after I have sorted out family life and online schooling for my children. So after many years I just wanted to say thank you a truly heartfelt thank you for helping all of us around the world. Its such a lift In these days.

Hello, Lucy,
It's been such a pleasure to read your blog every day, thank you so much!
The colours in these pictures are amazing! I love that dramatic feeling of a cloudy sky with some sunshine appearing between the clouds... Here in southern Brazil we're in the midst of a long drought and are happy with every rainy day this year!
I have been reading your blog for quite some years now, but I rarely take the time to write a comment, sorry for that! I have crocheted a blanket for my eldest son using your neat ripple pattern when I was pregnant. That was some years ago, and now I'm starting a blanket for my youngest son, who chose the Summer Garden Granny Square pattern and is constantly watching my progress. ;)
So, thank you again for inspiring us.
Best wishes, and still happy belated birthday!

The autumn colours in your corner are still so bright an vibrant. The gales seem to be stripping our trees daily. I remember walking by those falls many years ago. Such a beautiful area. Have a lovely week. B x

How lovely Lucy! And guess what just arrived for me? The moorland stripe wool pack..... I have never crochet before but I fell in love with the colours, wish me luck!

Liz

Lovely photography Lucy. Getting into bed in the early afternoon is becoming a routine for me😂💕

I agree, the best day of the holidays is the first one when you feel free and everything is still possible.

It's all just so pretty. I'd love to walk around there. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you once again sharing the beautiful Autumn over there to us who are going into our Summer. Perth WA weekend was very hot Mid 30’s and it’s not even Summer yet. Two things happen around our house in the last couple of days, first the roller blind fell down while I was getting it up, allbok I didn’t get hurt. Yesterday we went to one of our shops that sells everything, craft things, yarns homewares (Spotlight). Anyway, we went to look at blinds when we got home our neighbour came round and asked did we hear all the noise, of course we didn’t as we were out. Turns out there was a mini tornado (we call them Willy Willy’s) which had come pass and knock part of our fence down. Upside while at Spotlight I bought some yarn 🧶 😁. Chin chin Jackie x

I went for an autumn walk today too. The sun was shining and the colours of some of the leaves were glorious. We didn't even have to put coats on just a hoddie zipped up was enough. Having the extra hour was wonderful. I did a bit of card making when I returned and in the evening some crochet so a very pleasurable day here too. Those falls look amazing and I even spotted a couple of brave souls on the water. You are probably fast asleep by now so I hope you slept well.

Fantastic as usual Lucy. X

Beverley

Lovely Autumn walking pictures and the Falls look spectacular. Milky coffee is my favourite too x

Christine

Entertaining as usual, love catching up with you life.x

Lovely Autumn colors there. I love the comfort of a milky coffee ( not too strong) when I go to bed at night, sometimes with a bit of crochet.

Abby

Your river walk looks gorgeous with the beautiful autumn colours
