Thank you inspiring me to knit socks! After one of your posts a couple of years ago I have now knitted 10 pairs. My son was working in Lapland where everyone else had beautiful handknitted socks and when I discovered the "fairisle " patterns were actually already in the wool I was fascinated and finally had a go ! I am so proud of the results and thank you for giving me that push ! I use a simple pattern that was on the inside of the wool band and even managed to graft the toes!! my son has several beautiful pairs knitted by his girlfriend's Mum but I am very proud of mine and it's so fascinating to see how the wool knits up. I've now had people admire mine and say how clever I must be to do such complicated fairisle patterns !!!!!!

Glad you find joy in the ordinary. I try to as well. It makes for a better life, no?

Great that you're feeling so well. Really appreciating your daily interlude in a difficult time for me and mine. Thank you so much
