About Me

  • Thank you so much for visiting me in the Attic, it's lovely to see you. My name is Lucy and I'm a happily married Mum with three children. We live in a cosy terraced house on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales in England which we are slowly renovating and making home. I have a passion for crochet and colour and love to share my creative journey. I hope you enjoy your peek into my colourful little world x

Happy Belated Birthday Lucy. I've put you in my calendar for the next 10 years (lol). I love reading your Blogs, and I always enjoy 'hearing' what you have been doing or have done, and seeing your wonderful photos. Take care, love Jenny xx

Happy belated birthday! I forgot you share it with one of my daughters. Loving the walks around the town and countryside. We did a treasure trail around the town on holiday in August and it's a thrill to spot a lot of the places we visited. Super to have a pop of colours and sunshine that you bring with your posts in the cloudy and grey times we are currently in x

Happy birthday meal!

Clip off a few of the violas and add to your salad - perfect topping and I suppose there must be something good if not just a smile inside of them. I know people candy them for decorating cakes but have never tried.

Rachel

Beautiful!!!

Lindsay

Thanks Lucy for this Friday's blog, the everyday can be really interesting! Hope you had a lovely meal, what a kind thought from your best friend, especially when going out for a meal can be a leap of faith in these current times. Take care, stay safe and keep smiling xx

So love reading your posts Lucy, no matter how ordinary. It is as if we are walking with you and your enthusiasm is infectious. It is that connection of the ordinariness that will help us all get through the uncertainty. It is the warm hug of friendship that we are all missing that seems to ooze out of your blog. Much appreciated X

Evi

It is so good to read you daily, oooh hope you had a great birthday meal.It is like having a chat with a pal and you know that is usually just mundane life stuff so it a comfort. I missed not reading your posts.
Love your photos especially the 'water' ones fabulous one with trees.
You actually got me back into crochet. I blame your neat ripple for this obsession. I also tried socks via Winwick Mum via you so I have a lot to thank/blame you for!

What a treat to have a blog from you every day. We will get withdrawal symptoms when you stop! Many of us lead seemingly mundane lives especially with the restrictions of this virus, but as you so beautifully describe and photograph, its often the smaller things that are easily taken for granted or missed altogether, that can give immense pleasure! Thank you Lucy. Enjoy your meal out.

Julia

You live in such a beautiful part of the world, seriously. Thank you for all the stunning photographs!

Susan

I hope you have a wonderful meal and evening out with your friend. Its what life's all about, these moments. Today is my mums birthday, she would have been 99. I'm the last now, with no one to else remember. I'm wearing her favourite Amber necklace, which is a nice feeling.

We must have just missed you in the woods today! It was a really lovely visit to Skipton on a sunny day! The woods were glorious and we had lunch out also!
Unfortunately it looks like Skipton is out of bounds for a few weeks now due to Lancashire now being on high alert!
Have a very happy birthday meal out ( my big birthday is on Monday) and enjoy
Your weekend!
I look forward to returning to Skipton very soon as it is a favourite place. You never knowI might bump into you you one day! Xxx

Brenda

A good night’s sleep is something to be celebrated Lucy. Pleased to hear that you have felt on form today as a result. I love the peep into your daily life, thank you for sharing it. I look forward to your blogtober each day, a little bit of escapism from the bustling city I live in. Hope you have a lovely evening.

Michele

Happy Birthday! I also have an October birthday and am enjoying seeing the changes and comments about the weather. Leaf crunching....how lovely!

Lesley

I love your socks! How long is that circular needles please? I have one, the shortest I could find but I'm not sure it'll work for socks!

Tineke

Have a lovely diner with the friend. One needs an outing like that.
