About Me

  • Hello! Thank you so much for visiting me in the Attic, it's lovely to see you. My name is Lucy and I'm a happily married Mum with three children. We live in a cosy terraced house on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales in England which we are slowly renovating and making home. I have a passion for crochet and colour and love to share my creative journey. I hope you enjoy your peek into my colourful little world x

What a fab friend! Oh to be organised, even if only in my thoughts if not in reality 🤣 Having finally found my crojo, which has been MIA for months, I am focusing on smaller projects like baby hats in order to not frighten said crojo away! I have, however, two secret teacher gift projects in mind that I’m very excited about! I’m a bit nervous too but am sure it’ll all work out ok. Isn’t it delightful to have a crafty secret or two?! X

I can't wait for the baby bunting tutorial -VERY excited!!
I'm so close to finishing an interlocking ripple (in bright bright colours I like to think you'd approve of 😊) I can most taste it! Then I can get back to my slightly adapted cottage ripple- why is it interlocking takes so much longer to do? There arent that many more ends!!
And waiting patiently is your beautiful dune pack which will be for my mum (it's the ONLY thing she has seen that she has expressed an instant liking for so obviously I am now procrastinating as I don't want to mess it up!!)

I started crocheting in earnest in January.. your sweet pea CAL was the first 'proper' thing I made.

Thank you for your patterns.. your lovely blog.. and being a source of sunshine on difficult days

Hooks and Needles

It's good to hear that you met up with Christine and that she helps you organise your planning thoughts. I expect there are things that make you invaluable to her too. I'm knitting a cardigan at the moment and crocheting an amigurumi Stormtrooper from a Star Wars kit, I've done Yoda, he's just waiting for a stormtrooper. It's a challenge for the knit & natter group to do some amigurumi. Thanks for sharing your plans, I tend to just write lists with deadlines, all the best Cathy x

I’m currently working on the Sweetpeas still and the changing tides from coastal Crochet. I’d love it if you’d do some keyring patterns.

Thanks for sharing all your ideas. I love seeing the pretty pieces on your mantel and I can't wait to see the finished bag.
I've just finished a cream baby blanket in the dune stitch,it's turned out beautiful.
Now I can't wait until November to see what the next cal is 😉

I love Natalie Rymer’s work. I have two of her prints in my lounge.
