About Me

  • Thank you so much for visiting me in the Attic, it's lovely to see you. My name is Lucy and I'm a happily married Mum with three children. We live in a cosy terraced house on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales in England which we are slowly renovating and making home. I have a passion for crochet and colour and love to share my creative journey. I hope you enjoy your peek into my colourful little world x

Oh love putting eucalyptus in my oil burner. Here hot and it makes me feel cool. Crocheting a snowman also cools me down while you are having cold cold weather. Bring on solstice for both of us ♥

Thank you so much for sharing your day. I, too, struggle through the winter months, but your photo of the seeds and grasses actually made me look for color. It's there! You are so fortunate to live in such a beautiful area. Happy Holidays!

I second what Audrey says about us having the power to change how we experience things. I had a lot of that this past summer and am looking forward to next year so much. And the return of the light, too, of course.

Love your photos of the river and the weed heads; I think weeds can be so graceful and I'm always happy when you include photos of them and of moss and all that.

We may end up with a green Christmas here this year. First time in ages for me. If so, I'll be thinking of England and remembering all the beauty.

I love your Mondays with J and it's also lovely to see the Sweet Pea Posy growing and growing.

Stay warm, Lucy, and know that so many are thinking of you and sending warm thoughts your way. Hugs. ~ Linne

All will be well you lucky girl and the light shall return <3 We Northern people grave for light and sun part of the year. My English neighbour went to Malta, after she retired, for those dark days. I did envy her, only not when snow fell. But those days are gone. I remember the snow on my birthday but that didn't happen for last years. But outside the nature sleeps and plans to come back in a few weeks! Bulbs <3 to grow in February. Yay.

This blog is all about a finding a state of grace, loved it!

Sounds like a wonderful Monday :)
I love how you always make such an effort to see the bright and happy side of anything. It helps to remind me that things are not just all good or all bad, but that we ourselves have the power to change how we experience things. I need that reminder now and then. Sorry if that sounds a bit vague but thank you! And have a great week and holidays. Liefs, Audrey
