About Me

  • Hello! Thank you so much for visiting me in the Attic, it's lovely to see you. My name is Lucy and I'm a happily married Mum with three children. We live in a cosy terraced house on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales in England which we are slowly renovating and making home. I have a passion for crochet and colour and love to share my creative journey. I hope you enjoy your peek into my colourful little world x

Oh! The memories walking along the canal. It is a beautiful town. Love your fireplace, so cosy. What a lovely place to sit with family and reflect on the day .... with a little bit of crotchet snuggled under one of your gorgeous blankets. Xx

I have made 6 of your blankets ..log cabin, coast ripple, hydrangea, woodland, moorland and the m8st recent granny sq whose name escapes me.
I decided to take a break from attic blankets and chose a pattern from an old book I have. Turned out to be badly written with instructional errors and I have almost given up after spending a fortune on wool. THEN I SAW YOUR SWEET PEA PALATTE!!! A rest from attic blankets who was I kidding? OnwRds and upwards Lucy xx

I'm so totally with you on the open fire thing. We heat our house here in the Columbia River Gorge of Oregon with a wood pellet stove that goes 24/7 with a cheery blaze. The stove has an auger which delivers the right amount of pellets to the little fire box. I'm looking at it right now. LOVE the felt ornament project, can't wait to see the ones you make. I have a couple really special felt ornaments and would love to make one of my own. I know you'll inspire me. You always do! I'm in love with the Sweet Pea colors, can't wait to see what blanket pattern you will use them in. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

I love a real fire as well. We have a gas fireplace and love that it is practically maintenance free but I miss the crackling a wood fire makes. Your sweet pea colors are so gorgeous! Love your blog!!

Our beautiful sweet peas are flowering now that it’s Summer in Australia! What a gorgeous colour palette for a blanket Lucy! Megan x

I'm loving the colours of the sweet pea blanket, everything I'm making seems to be shades of blue lately so I'm getting drawn to the pink end of the spectrum right now! Your fire looks lovely and cosy, the evenings are warming up here so we're starting to enjoy our outside fire pit. There's something comforting about the flames and the stars. xx Susan

Loved seeing your fireplace and I am also good at making a fire especially when we are away with our van outdoors type. Beautiful colours you have their Lucy. I still cherish when I met you 2 years ago yarndale xoox

Ooooh, gasp indeed! I love the ornaments, particularly the birds. I so love the moorland colours and wish I’d done that when you did your cal for it. I really want to do it, but also want to do the sweet pea cal. Argh decisions!! xx.

Oh what lovely pastel colours. This is going to be a very pretty blanket, Lucy. Well done - as always. Val,x

I love that Black Swan ornament! these would dress any tree up wonderfully, you wouldnt want much more dressing lest it overpower these lovely designs. Cant wait to see yours!
