Dear Lucy,
So happy to find my butterfly in your blog photos. I wish I didn't live so far, I would have loved to visit Yarndale! Thanjs for all the inspiration Lucy 😘

Donna

It was a fabulous Yarndale weekend, and a testament to the hard work and dedication of you and all the team. I was delighted to volunteer once again and enjoyed meeting and chatting with so many lovely visitors, from all corners of the world. I am honoured you were able to use one of my photos too! xxx

It was our first Yarndale and it was so fab! I still squish the yarn I bought, look through the books and patterns then put it all back into my Yarndale bag ... it's like being a kid again! And I absolutely adore my butterfly, it's brings back many happy memories of the weekend. Well done Yarndale team! xx

Liz

Yarndale is my favourite day out of the year. 2018 was my fifth visit and it was as exciting as ever. Thank you so much for all your hard work putting on the best and friendliest yarn show there is.

Hello Lucy. This year was my first Yarndale visit ,along with 2 friends, all the way from Kent. We will be back next year! We had a wonderful time so thank you and the team for all your hard work. I was hoping just to say hi in the'ring' but as you say, you hardly had time to breathe. It was great to see all your blankets. The Ripple was my first and I can't make up my mind which one to do next. I was even more confused when I saw them all. Thank you.

Thank you so much for painting such a wonderful and realistic picture of Yarndale - I really enjoyed hearing about what happens behind the scenes and the huge amount of work and love that goes into it! I couldn't make it this year so it was lovely to read your post Lucy and to see all the butterflies (including mine!) displayed on the board (inspired idea to display them museum-style!). Thank you for taking time to write this post :-) x

Kimmy

Lucy, that was beyond spectacular! Every year it gets better. Wish I didn't live halfway across the world, or I would have joined in the fun. I think your butterfly display is the best you've ever had, and it was really hard to top all the others from previous years. You really do go beyond the call of duty, but it's much appreciated. It's all a visual delight.

Your details of Yarndale was so good it made me feel I was really there. I am crocheting on the Cosy blanket for my son who has just been diagnosed with Cancer and I hope it will keep him warm this winter.

It all looks so dreamy. I came three years ago and had a wonderful time. I hope to be able to come again next year. It’s on my birthday weekend so what better way to celebrate than with all things yarny 😁.

It all looks amazing, congratulations lucy on your achievements!

Hi Lucy, I really enjoyed all the stalls & events at Yarndale and meeting you of course! We were on a hire boat cruising on the Leeds & Liverpool canal, so I made sure the last day of our trip coincided with Yarndale :) The butterflies looked brilliant and I love the way they were pinned on the boards, I thought that was very clever. There are some very talented crafters around and I love the enthusiasm they all have whether it was weaving, felting, crochet, knitting or pottery (I bought one of those yarn bowls - it's fab and has completely confused the cat). I was transfixed by the lady from Wool Warehouse knitting a pair of Fairisle socks too - clever lady. Now we're back in the South, I've just got to finish my current project so I can start on your lovely Moorland blanket :)

CJ

Oh wow, it all looks absolutely amazing, well done to all. You displayed those butterflies beautifully, I can't imagine how long it took, but well done to you and J too. You should be very proud of putting together such a fantastic event, and the yarn bombing looks brilliant as ever. Also the hall - utterly transformed. You have fair taken my breath away. CJ xx
