I was glad to read your flowers are outside. Cow parsley is toxic to kitty cats and they such curious creatures.

Lovely project!

Lovely pebbles, they really do look pretty. I was carefully studying cow parsley last week, as it grows so abundantly by the river. I've been drawing it too. I peered at it very closely and saw that it had five petals; one at the top (as I was looking at it) which is the largest and kind of heart shaped, then two under that which are smaller and also heart shaped and then finally the two smallest underneath which are not heart shaped but fully rounded. I always just assumed they would all be the same, but no!

White pens are like magic.

So pretty!

Lovely Lucy & you can paint/draw as well as your other talents. Well done. You could use one as a paper weight, but they are just so pretty in that bowl, they make me smile. Of course the pretty pictures of Bolton make my heart skip a beat. Thank you & take care.

They're brilliant, what a lovely idea. And Little B's are fantastic, he's obviously inherited your artistic talents. I love that they have good memories from your days out by the river as well. Perfect. CJ xx

oh wow....such lovely inspiration! I love the detail of the wild flowers and your pebbles are beautiful. I like the idea of them sitting outside and just being there xxx

Thanks, Lucy, think lots of us are so enjoying the buttercups, cow parsley, hawthorn etc at present. And on the chair in our back room I have my collection of shells & pebbles just waiting - and now you've given me some ideas for them!

Your pebbles are fab. Here in my corner of the world families have been painting pebbels and hiding them in parks and public places for others to find and re-hide for others to find. There is a local fb page so the finders can post pictures with their finds and the painters can annouce which park they have hidden them in. An all round fun activity for the kids and adults to do together.

I could see myself getting addicted to painting rocks. Something almost magical about them. Little B seems to have your artistic talent. Loved his rock drawings. Such a simple thing, but so pretty.

Moments ago I finished a mystery book and the setting was Bolton Abbey and they even mentioned the River Wharfe and then I check your blog and you are there! Such a coincidence! Love your sweet pebbles! Thanks for the creative ideas!!

Thank Lucy lovely inspiration will have a go at making something for my Facebook cover I try to make them fit the season ,this month I had bluebells hmmm it's got me thinking ! Love Jenny from Cornwall xx

Wow Lucy, what a beautiful blog. So, so inspiring I might need to have a go myself. I was at Bracklesham Bay today and resisted the urge to pick up more pebbles, I might just have to make a return trip ;) Thank you so much for your encouragement to try new things xx

I love doing this too and deliberately took a white pen with me on holiday last year. There is a beach in Cornwall with fantastic flat black stones and I whiled away a few hours drawing there and then. My children also wanted to join in-so lovely.

Blue and yellow mornings

Have you seen he trend for finding and rehiring painted rocks? Have a look on Facebook, Bbrox

Oh Lucy, so much love for these pebbles! I think the dark charcoal grey ones are my favourite. And it's your fault if I've just ordered myself some Posca pens....

So lovely as always to be sharing the months creatively with you my friend. Lots of love. xxxx
