Happy new year and a big thank you for all the lovely blogposts the past year.

My goodness, your little home village is so picturesque it's hard to believe it's actually real!! Happy New Year, Lucy!

Heather Coady

It was lovely reading your post made me feel cosy! I so envy your crochet meet ups!
Looking forward to Friday! X

Happy New year Lucy! I love love love your posts, they are always so inspiring and yet calming at the same time. Sometimes they make me feel a little envious, as my 3 have all flown the coop and have families of their own, and I live far away from them, though I have just returned from a wonderful family Christmas. It is good that you make the most of every minute of family time, as it flies by so quickly. But you will have the satisfaction of knowing that you have given them the most amazing childhood, full of wonderful memories. All the best for 2018! xx

Sounds a lovely time of it! I received a cold for Christmas that has lingered into the new year (you can safely say you are sick when you cannot crochet). ; P Love L.B.'s rainbow socks and his Christmas Legos! I saw a crochet Groot pattern on line and was very tempted to make one, even though I don't have small peeps to make it for. lol Wishing you a wonderful new year Lucy!xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

What a lovely post! Although it's been many years since my children were young and we enjoyed the lazy week between Christmas and New Year's, it was wonderful to relive those times with your family. I miss those magical moments, reading with them by the fireplace, playing with their Legos, just being with them. Your home looks so peaceful decorated for the season. I wish you peace, health and creativity in this new year.

Happy New Year Lucy and family. Lovely blog, spent our Christmas and New Year cosied up in Suffolk this year, so missed out on walking in Bolton Abbey woods this year....but did enjoy New Years Eve in our village pub with some live music, first time we have done Auld Lang Syne for years!!! Glad you had a lovely time, looking forward to your crochet along on Friday xx

Sounds like a perfect Christmas Lucy. There've been cold/flu-type things here as well, which made things a little quieter than usual. Also a little Christmas Lego of course. Beautiful moon photo at Bolton Abbey, I absolutely love sunset in winter, it's such a magical time of day. I'm wishing you and yours a very happy New Year Lucy. CJ xx

Hi I was wondering do you do the socks a round needle rather than four pins...if so is the pattern available. I just can’t seem to get on with four pins...Sal

Happy New year to you and your lovely family Lucy. Thank you for another fabulous blog. I agree with you, nothing beats a real fire and candlelight to make you feel warm and cozy.I wish we still had ours, central heating is just not the same. My pack of woodland blanket yarn is ready and waiting, this will be my first CAL but I am so looking forward to it. I've the cupcake blanket on the go at the moment too so will be rather busy but I'm doing something I really enjoy and love so it's a pleasure rather than a chore! Thank you for your wonderful patterns, ideas and blogs. Take care xx

Happy New Year Heather!
I really enjoyed your blog post, thank you for sharing your adventures from the Christmas holidays with us. Wow you were busy!
I am so excited to do the woodland blanket CAL. I have my supplies ready and I am praying to the yarn gods to be kind and help me read a pattern haha. I think I shall be ok, as I have made a weekend bag using your pattern and it was so much easier than I thought, thanks to your wonderful step by step pictures.
I would love to snuggle down in front of that gorgeous fireplace, oh it’s gorgeous!
Much love and well wishes for 2018 xxx

Happy New Year to you Lucy and your family. Love Christmas pictures as always and the description of your cat is just perfect. Cats are a breed all on their own, they own you do what they want and you are their servant.
