THANK YOU! for this wonderful blanket in all its' colorful glory. I have never looked forward to working on a project every day and finishing, as much as this one (I'm on the 6th row of the border now). It has been the highlight of my day and makes me so happy to see all the color as I work on it. Again, THANK YOU.

Kimmy

It's a beauty, Lucy. You've done it again. Like you, I especially like the colorwash effect. Perfect planning and execution!

Sue

I love the colors...Thanks for sharing this project and reviewing about blocking.

Anne

OH it's a beauty Lucy! I'd be hard pressed to pick a favorite among your many blankets. Here's a look at a wall hanging I made working just from stash.http://www.ravelry.com/projects/angela8626/for-the-love-of-hearts

It's beautiful Lucy Thank you so much for sharing its story. I've nearly finished the squares for round 1. It's great project for carrying out and about. I'm also making the Hydrangea blanket but it's got to big to travel around in my handbag now. x

Margaret

Absolutely gorgeous blanket. It gives a summer feeling with all these colors.

Have a nice day, Margaret

Little Quiltsong

Gorgeous blanket. Love how all the colors are arranged in it. Like you said - the highs and the lows. The reds - highs (to me), and the blues - lows and the in between days. Beautiful!!

Denise

How often can we keep repeating what a beautiful blanket, not often enough. Thankyou Lucy for giving me the inspiration to begin crocheting. I may still be working on the first two rounds but will not give up til I have completed it all and hopefully have a blanket to do you and me justice. And thankyou for such a real blog its a pleasure to read. Denise.

Dam, it's stunning now I want to make another blankets. Is there such a thing as too many crochet blankets?

Tina's Allsorts

Your blanket is just beautiful Lucy - as always!
I'm making my own version with a Flowers in the Snow pattern but in a baby size. I hope mine looks as good as yours when finished!
And thank you for all the incredible photos as well! What a way to start my day. 😊

Love, love, love your blanket Lucy, it's fab. Such a pretty border. Could you suggest some colours for my sixth round please ( I haven't done the colour wash for the final square placements but how you showed them on round five) I've tried a few but they don't seem to work and end up overpowering it! :( I'd be really grateful for your expert help. Thank you. Keep up the fabulous work. X

Lucy, I am still speechless with joy that washed over me upon seeing this blanket for the first time after you joined the squares but hadn't added the border. I have rarely met anyone who loves colour and creating as much as I do, but I think you are one of them. I found you via Selma's blog and was instantly captivated. That was a few years ago now. I so want to make your blankets once I have time, space and materials. I have a few of my own designs in mind, too, of course . . . and I'd love to make them in wool instead of acrylic. If I were younger, I think I'd just buy a couple of sheep lol.
I can't thank you enough for the joy you share with us all, even as you move through your own hills and valleys. Do remember that you make others' journeys easier as you brighten our lives. I so appreciate all that you do for us. Now I'm already looking forward to your next project . . .

Sandra

A beautiful end product of a colourful family blanket. I like the way you have combined the colours of the squares to capture the corner to corner harmony.

Selina Clare

it looks awesome!
at first i thought it was going to be way too busy (in the colours) but the way you have it gradually going from one colour scheme to the next is really lovely, it's like magic.
beautiful.
thanx for sharing

I love the way the colours seem to move and shimmer and make your eye keep moving over it. Not to mention the gorgeousness of the colours too!

Maureen

Absolutely my favorite blanket to date. What a gift you have. And a gift so generously shared. Thank you.

Leah Lynch

Dawn

Thank you very much for sharing Lucy!
Can't wait to make this beautiful blanket....

Wendy Reader

I have been eagerly waiting for this post as well. . Your blanket is beautiful. I am just starting row 2 and love the process of sorting all the beautiful colours even the snipping and darning. We are just at the end of our winter in Australia but the blanket will be well used on the odd cooler spring summer days.
