About Me

  • Thank you so much for visiting me in the Attic, it's lovely to see you. My name is Lucy and I'm a happily married Mum with three children. We live in a cosy terraced house on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales in England which we are slowly renovating and making home. I have a passion for crochet and colour and love to share my creative journey. I hope you enjoy your peek into my colourful little world x

I alway enjoy your words and photos Lucy.

Just fabulous. I'm wondering what is the image in the first photo?

Diane Puckett

Beautiful pics as always ! The pink flower we know as fireweed in our northern states !

Barbara Seiver

You really made me see the day, with words and pictures, too. Thank you!

Can I come live at your house. I won't take up much room. And I'll sew in all your yarn ends!!!

Your village is beyond beautiful and your descriptions read like poetry.

Such beautiful pictures and wistful words. You took me away for a little while. Beautiful!

Thank you Lucy <3

My goodness Lucy - thank you.
You remind me to enjoy summer, to enjoy the here and now, to stop and absorb the beauty of life.
What a truly beautiful post X

What a beautiful village you live in! I love the u.k can't wait to visit next year! I love the old stone buildings and walls. We lost some beautiful heritage buildings in our earthquake.
Love your blog as am a keen quilter, but also love crotchet.
Love your photos, thanks.

Glad you had a lovely day with J. We were at St Anne's last week and the weather was mostly like today. Vanilla tea rooms, just off the square, is a lovely place to eat. Not long now until your children are on holiday-hope there are many days like today with the whole family. Catriona

Thanks for sharing your wonderful sunny summer day full of adventures and beautiful expansive views! And such a nice time just you and your daughter too. I love summer too. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

Lovely Lucy & we did the same last Thursday & took time to visit the seaside, though ours was a bayside trip & very crisp & cool. I did post about it & mine don't have quite the same feeling as yours. No yards of sand, but we did enjoy blowing the cobwebs away after being cooped up a bit this winter. Thanks for the pics of my fave spots around your town. Have a good week & take care.

Thanks you Lucy love Jenny from Cornwall xx

I think you just described my perfect day, Lucy! I've said before, but we've been going to St Anne's since 1965!!! Our family will be gathered there this weekend for our annual get together, and now my hubby has taken early retirement my dream to live there just might come true...

Glad to see you enjoy all that beauty!

Very poetic, Lucy.

Just love your colour ways! I've made two of your blankets now and they are absolutely beautiful and have lots of favourable comments. Thank you.
I come from Yorkshire, it's a grand place to live. Many more walks, sunny days, inspiration and happiness.....
