About Me

  • Thank you so much for visiting me in the Attic, it's lovely to see you. My name is Lucy and I'm a happily married Mum with three children. We live in a cosy terraced house on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales in England which we are slowly renovating and making home. I have a passion for crochet and colour and love to share my creative journey. I hope you enjoy your peek into my colourful little world x

Such a beautiful place! I felt soothed looking at your photos. Thanks for sharing 💚

you're in a beautiful place, Lucy!
These photos are very nice, as always!
I love it!

From the coast on the other side of the Atlantic greetings! These beach pictures are as noted earlier - so different from our strips of sand and bam - the ocean - so beautiful and vast. I love your walk back and the pure reflections in the still waters - thank you for taking the time to post!

What a fantastic day, lots of beautiful memories to store for the future.

It's always surprising to me when you post pictures of the beach. I'm so used to going to the beach and seeing a little strip of powdery sand and then BAM! the entire Pacific Ocean, right there. The idea of a beach where the sand just seems to go on and on seems so strange to me.

What a lovely walk and I am really looking forward to doing that walk once again soon :-) xx

Gorgeous pictures - we've had some really "lucky" weather recently haven't we?!?! I love it when the water is so still that you get a perfect reflection - the ones of the canal boats are amazing. BTW according to Bloglovin this post does not exist...had to use the old-fashioned method (Safari) to read it - strange as it's normally very reliable!

What a lovely area of England you live in. Yes,I know it can be very cold and wet in winter. So glad you can still walk in evenings along the paths. It's been very cold, snowy and wet last week and towards the end of the week again the same.O the joys of school holidays.
Today in New Zealand it's warm sunny day.The fire is ready to go again tonight.Cheers.

So good to hear from you again, Lucy, after the very sad post about your mother's death. I think often of you as you come to terms with her passing. This is a beautiful and hopeful post - I enjoyed it so much. All the best.

Thank you! I can feel the water on my feet!

Nice post. I felt like I was there! You live a lovely part of the world.

Oh how I do LOVE these pictures! You live in a little part of Heaven for sure. So refreshing to be able to take (and view) photos without any automobiles, trucks, etc. Thanks so much, Lucy!

What a happy day you had, just my sort of day. Over here we can now see snow on the hills ! One of my crafty ladies groups, 14 of us, went out for a lovely Mid winter lunch, a great day for us too. Carolyn.

Having spent yesterday travelling your beautiful photographs are a breath of fresh air. How precious your Mondays have become what a treasure.
