About Me

  • Hello! Thank you so much for visiting me in the Attic, it's lovely to see you. My name is Lucy and I'm a happily married Mum with three children. We live in a cosy terraced house on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales in England which we are slowly renovating and making home. I have a passion for crochet and colour and love to share my creative journey. I hope you enjoy your peek into my colourful little world x

These colours are so vibrant and beautiful. Do you have a pattern for the mandala? I am almost finished the hydrangea blanket - six rows and the border to go! I have so enjoyed this project, my first Attic 24 blanket. Looking forward to seeing your summer one! Thank you Lucy.

Your Gerberas make such a nice happy bouquet! I enjoyed seeing you match the flowers with the yarn.. what a neat photo! Enjoy your mandala and I'm looking forward to your next blanket project. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

I can't keep up!! Still on my Moorland Blanket but looking forward to a new one.

Would anyone who loves this blog like I do and lives in Florida USA like to consider getting together for a group meeting/weekend of crocheting in a central location this summer? My email is ar41tal@comcast.net. Please put Attic24 in the subject line.

Lucy, I've always loved the first ripple blanket you made and put on your bed. It had such a lovely combination of colors, though it was before you used stylecraft yarn. You mentioned that what pulled it together so well was the raspberry stripes you put in the mix. Would you consider making a neat ripple pattern of colors like that blanket with stylecraft? Thanks for all you do and the inspiration.

I love the way you've matched your colours to the cotton. Is there a pattern available for the Mandala?

Working happily away on my Coastal Stripe blanket, for my grandson!
Will look forward to seeing the new pattern!

Oh it's lovely waiting for a yarn delivery isn't it. One of my favourite things. And then opening the package when it arrives. Love the gerberas, they're brilliant flowers aren't they. I shall look forward to seeing your next creation. Early summer colours are divine, flowers, flowers everywhere. Wonderful. CJ xx

This post has given me the kick start I need to finish off cupcake and cosy stripe - both 3/4 done and then get cracking on hydrangea!!! Can't wait to see the next one although I'd better finish the Japanese flower scarf for my friends mum before I get back to blankets - so many WIPs it's not funny!!! Happy days

Is the pattern for this available ?

Saw the flowers and thought, I wish she would match them to yarn...
Scrolled down a little and my wish came true!!

Haven't started the Hydrangea blanket, yet. Had birthday gifts to finish. So I'm waiting to see your NEW blanket and decide which to do first.

I already have a couple WIPs I had set aside and need to finish... there is a limit on WIPs, isn't there?🤔

I've just started a new blanket with your hydrangea colour pack but using block stitch...I note your mandala is in block stitch too!
...is this a clue to your new blanket stitch?

Is there a pattern available for the lovely doily/mat that is underneath your jug of gerberas?

Wow a new blanket ! I have discovered I too am a nit lost with out a blanket on the go . I finished a double cup cake blanket which is now keeping my family cosy and comforted . All so designed a seascape blanket square for a wedding present all done bar the label " handmade with love " so looking forward to seeing your lovely ideas
