❤ Enjoying the look of my mantel this week after Christmas was packed away. Pretty Spring colours and the cutest pot of nodding narcissus bringing a daily smile to my face. I've kept my scented Christmas candles and couldn't resist holding onto my two dome lights for a little bit longer - I figured they were more about Winter than Christmas and I love the twinkle they bring to the room at night (they were a lovely impulse buy from Amazon here and here).
❤ Enjoying these teeny tiny flowers soooo much, that little dash of yellow makes me feel optimistic and happy.
❤ Enjoying my new planner, my weekly session of coloured pens and pretty stickers, and the feeling of being ever-so-slightly organised with my days makes me feel good. I've got it in my mind to try some more long term planning this year as well, but that's something to talk about in a post of it's own.
❤ Enjoying this jug of tulips on my table, a gift from my wonderful and kind mother-in-law to cheer me up when I was spending yet another day in bed on Sunday. I am almost free of these pesky germs, but they have flattened my battery somewhat and I've been forcing myself to rest as mush as possible. The delicate pink of these petals is impossibly pretty, I gaze at them often throughout the day and sigh with pleasure.
❤ Enjoying Tilly when she is in the mood to settle and snuggle. She is a very lovable kitty, and oh there is honestly nothing nicer than having her warm little purring body nestled in my lap. The above photo is her nestled in Little Lady's lap actually, those two are pretty close.
❤ Enjoying watching the start of my Moorland CAL unfold across the internet, it's been a real treat to read so many wonderful comments and to see so many of you taking off on this journey of yarny colour. I'll be publishing part 2 tomorrow morning, I seriously love sharing with you all!

I was wondering if it was possible for you to help me identify a pattern. I have searched high and low and can not identify it. I'm also not quite at the stage where I can look at something and figure out the pattern. My husband's grandmother made this pattern for everyone in the family, so I was hoping to continue the tradition and make afghans for those who didn't get one before she died. Is there a way to send you a picture??
I'll post it on instagram if you could take a peek :)

I'm so happy that you have Tilly as I have two cats and they bring me so much laughter and love. Hope you are doing much better and will be up and about soon. I love your new Moorland blanket but I still have a whole bag of your yarn to make last winters blanket. Thanks for sharing your talent and life with us. Can't wait to meet you at Yarndale!!

I'm not quite sure how someone with a name as soft as Blossom can be so mean. Lucy is overwhelmingly generous, not only with her time, but her colours and sharing her patterns for free. Get a life, Blossom, and try having an attitude of gratitude for a change. You don't have to buy anything - just enjoy what you are being given.

This cold/cough is a hard one to kick, it lingers on and on. Definitely slowed my plans for the new year. Here's to the end of it for the both of us and anyone else suffering with it! LOVE the pink tulips, just the picture is cheerful, I can just imagine in person how much more so. Tilly is a cutie, reminds me of my first tortoiseshell cat named Cocoa. I imagine she loves the yarn balls.lol

Purring cats and pretty flowers are definitely what you need when you're feeling under the weather! xx

Cheerful post, colourful & chatty. I'm already loving the Moorland Rug and the colours really do remind of the moors and dales. So good to hear the cold is much better, and hope you are soon full of energy. Have a great weekend and take care.

I thoroughly enjoyed all the color and cheeriness of this blog post. In this kind of atmosphere and with such an attentive feline helper you can not possibly remain under the weather for too long!

What a beautiful blanket. I bought this wools for my Christmas treat to myself, and then couldn't resist the cottage colours so am currently working on the ripple blanket. Will have to catch up later in the year on the Moorland so hopefully you will keep all the details up. I loved that for the ripple blanket the wools came with all the clear blanket instructions. Thank you for your gift of colours x

Tulip top tip. Pop a pin through the neck of your tulips about 1 inch from the bloom and remove the pin (one lady left the pins in ☺). It lets the air out and they don't flop over, making you smile for a few days longer.

Gorgeous flowers, and your mantel is looking so pretty. I'm glad you're on the mend, hope you're back to full strength soon. CJ xx

Hope you get well soon. Being ill is the pits. I am enjoying my moorland blanket, despite having to restart a few times. Dunno why but it doesn't matter now, all fixed. Looking forward to more fun. Xxx

Glad you're getting better, and I love your mantle! We don't have a fireplace, so I'm quite envious of anyone who does!

After your post on your planner, I have been so tempted to get one! They look like a lot of fun. I've added it to my cart several times, but I haven't pulled the trigger yet. I'm still trying to figure out if it could be *the planner* that changes my life and makes it more organized, or... if it ends up in the pile of unused planners that I thought were *the planner* at the time. Maybe I will wait until the 2018 planners come out in June/July? and see how I feel about it then.
Also, I am so loving hearing about Tilly. People who aren't cat people, wont understand what it's like having a purring kitty on your lap and how wonderful it is. :)

Good to know you're getting better, be sure to take it easy. I noticed daffodils coming up in the garden of one of the service users I took home earlier this week, and it made me smile in anticipation of the beautiful blooms to come :)

The color of the yarns in the picture with the cat are much brighter than the actual yarn. Is the picture color enhanced?
