About Me

  • Thank you so much for visiting me in the Attic, it's lovely to see you. My name is Lucy and I'm a happily married Mum with three children. We live in a cosy terraced house on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales in England which we are slowly renovating and making home. I have a passion for crochet and colour and love to share my creative journey. I hope you enjoy your peek into my colourful little world x

Ha! We have a cat with tortitude! Loved these photos, it was so nice to see them all again and marvel at how quickly the year has gone past xx

Thank you Lucy for sharing all those photos. It was wonderful looking through them all and reminding me of how much pleasure you give so many people around the world during the year. Monica

Your writing, ideas, and photographs are a bright spot in my week, Lucy. Thank you for your dedication to blogging. I love seeing the world through your colorful perspective :-)
Also, I have a tortie, too. She was called Tussa when I inherited her, but sometimes I call her "Tussa La Fussa" because she is very talk-a-tive and fusses a lot. She's my little darling cat, though.
God Bless,

Thank you Lucy for all of your wonderful posts, pictures and generous hooky sharing. Your blog is a bright spot in my life and is much appreciated! I'm on the Moreland blanket CAL and I am really excited to be a part of it! It's my first CAL and it's fun to be a part of something bigger! Too much fun! Thank you again for another fabulous year. I can't wait to see what you do for 2017!

Thank you Lucy for beautiful colours creative thoughts and friendship love Jenny from Cornwall xx

9 years! An achievement in itself! Here's to many more blogging years

I have been reading your blog for 6 years and I wanted to tell you how wonderful it is. I was suffering from depression when I first found your blog, the wonderful color and cheerfulness helped me to step outside myself and start healing. I find myself scrolling through and looking at pictures as a calming antidote to a tough day.

ps. I second the vote for cards or posters. I have thought several times that a picture on your blog would look great blown up, mounted to a weathered plank and hung on a wall.

Wow! What great memories!

Ooooo..... I LOVE ❤️ your yearly round up! I've been sooo looking forward to this and it hasn't disappointed x

So pretty!!! I love the colorful mosaics! What a fun way to look back :)

I especially love the socks and blankets pics! Keep well and warm. Happy 2017!!

Wow, time well spent on your beautiful collages. They are absolutely stunning. I particularly love the summer. May, June and August are especially lovely, especially that stream with the green reflections in it and that huge seascape. Glorious. I'm wishing you a wonderful year and many more happy memories. CJ xx

Beautiful, cheerful and and pleasant evening read at the end of a very grey and dismal day. Thank you.
