About Me

  • Thank you so much for visiting me in the Attic, it's lovely to see you. My name is Lucy and I'm a happily married Mum with three children. We live in a cosy terraced house on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales in England which we are slowly renovating and making home. I have a passion for crochet and colour and love to share my creative journey. I hope you enjoy your peek into my colourful little world x

I can feel the calmness of your day, sounds delightful... 😊❤

Winter beauty at its best and a great contrast to the city bustle.

Lovely peaceful place love Jenny xx

So glad you got out for a walk in the woods together Lucy. I went Christmas shopping. I had eldest to help me which made it less stressful ( I hate choosing things for others so a second opinion was very handy). Missed my group walk though. Missing Yorkshire at the moment too. Thank you for the glimpses.
Love Jacquie x

What a lovely day. The countryside is even more wonderful after the noise and sensory overload of shopping I think. Sounds as though you're having a perfect few days. CJ xx

Much more my kind of day & the scenery made me want to come back. Really homesick now!!! The colours of the fungi on that branch are worth thinking about together and would make a very different combination. A good coffee can be had at a new shop in Thackley on the main road, called McCallans Deli & Cafe. The service is great. Thanks for the lovely photos and take care.

Thank you so much for your posts. I dream of England since I do research on my ancestors from there. It feels more like my upstate New York home than our Southern California surroundings. Lifts my spirits!

Thank you Lucy for allowing us to join you on your beautiful country walk. As much as I enjoyed your visit to the city, I loved your day in the peace and tranquility of the beautiful country side. 😊🇦🇺

I enjoyed your city visit immensely and then loved seeing your natural country scenes. Living on a farm in Oregon, USA.. I appreciate the green but in one half hour I can be in downtown Portland, OR. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

We had this last friday. A friend called to ask if I was finished working. She wanted to stroll across nearby mountains ( they're just little hills but called mountains)It was misty and magical. Traditional we "lost" the car because we started chatting and didn't payed attention which road we took.Because of the little aureole of mist nothing looked familiar. After a while we walked in silence absorbing the beauty and magic.Makes you feel one with mother earth.( in the end we did find the car ;>D)

How lovely, and definitely an antidote to the city xx
