Hello!

About Me

  • Thank you so much for visiting me in the Attic, it's lovely to see you. My name is Lucy and I'm a happily married Mum with three children. We live in a cosy terraced house on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales in England which we are slowly renovating and making home. I have a passion for crochet and colour and love to share my creative journey. I hope you enjoy your peek into my colourful little world x

Love Peacocks Lucy x
I started my first ever sock journey in January inspired from your postings... of course. I had a whole heap of knitting needles given to me many years ago by a favourite Aunt Nancy who wasn't an Aunt if you know what I mean. I thought I would never use those three sets of complicated DPNS included but never say never! Joined the Winwick Mum's FB page and I'm on my second pair now with two more balls waiting to get wrestled with! x

Lovely socks! Really beautiful. Such a nice array of colours.

Oh my goodness I am so out of the loop when it comes to anything Kaffe Fassett living in rural Ireland. I feel in love with his fabric and it was not till I started following you and S. Pinner that I realized his full scope! I love that wool! The other you have from W.Y.S. is amazing also! I have a wonderful friend who makes socks. She would love these wools. Must figure a way to get her some

You will soon have your own matching drawer! ;) xxx

Dear Lucy I am about to make my first pair of socks using the lovely Christine's instructions. So I think it will be tension first!! Enjoy your weekend x

I love Drops yarn for socks especially Drops Fabel. Combined with Knitpro symfonie DPN, it's a feast for the hands. Austermann also have some lovely colours for stripy socks. Make some for your little people and your 'warm and fuzzy' will be magnified at the sight of their snug little feet. It's an addiction you won't be able to break now! :)

I'll get you quilting yet!

Lovely! I have always wanted to make socks. Do I dare give it a try?

Erin Berglund

I'd love to make socks. Is there a way you can make a tutorial for crochet, please?

As always a great colourful read. I really must start my own sock journey this year. Hope you're feeling better Lucy xx
