About Me

  • Thank you so much for visiting me in the Attic, it's lovely to see you. My name is Lucy and I'm a happily married Mum with three children. We live in a cosy terraced house on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales in England which we are slowly renovating and making home. I have a passion for crochet and colour and love to share my creative journey. I hope you enjoy your peek into my colourful little world x

I haven't been by to see you here in quite a while. This is a lovely blanket. I am mostly a quilter, but my Granny taught me to crochet and I have been working on a two color ziggy blanket for over a year now. I needed something to crochet while going through cancer treatments this last year. My question is, are you going to leave these CAL posts up so we can make this after the holidays? I would love to make this one. Merry Christmas Lucy, and a blessed new year to you.

Merry Chistmas!!! May all your dreams come true!
Thanks for writting your blog: it has given me so much to look foward.

Wishing you and your family a very happy Christmas and many thanks for inspiring me to start my own sunny blanket, despite our hot humid weather here in Brisbane.

I look forward to seeing the finished blankets.(I've been working on hooky gifts most of the day, a lovely way to spend it for sure.) Wishing you and yours all that's merry and bright this holiday season!xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Perhaps a post about how you came to be hooked on crochet 8 years ago?

Very nice work happy Hollyday!

Happy Christmas to you and yours, Lucy, and a very healthy, happy 2016. Thanks for all the colour you bring to us all. 💖

Merry Christmas Lucy! Wishing you and yours a lot of happy and blessed family time together.

I couldn't resist not to order the sunny blanket.
The third blanket I'll start with .
The coast blanket is used by a niece.
The cottage blanket seems to become my husbands favorite , so I like to make one for myself.

A Merry Christmas and a colourful 2016 with love and inspiration.

Merry Christmas and a Happy 2016 to you and your lovely family, with lots of inspirational ideas and makes!!
Love from Greece,

Beautiful pattern!Thank you!

I was just thinking earlier how this time of year is so good for yarn and fabric and general making of things. I always want to sit and create something warm on these long, dark, chilly evenings. CJ xx

Love it, a lovely sunny theme to counteract this dark season and a really modern design too!x

Thank you for this beautiful pattern! I'm currently on square 11 and I'm worried I'm going to get behind over Christmas! Nevertheless, it will be finished in January :)

Happy Christmas to all the Attic24 family xxx

I am so enjoying making this blanket. I am one square behind right now but I hope to be back on track by next weekend. My grandson arrives tomorrow to spend Christmas in Spain, so we will be sitting chatting, while I do my crochet. You have made me nervous in the way you choose your colours ech week. The mathematician in me would have drawn a plan and had it all worked out before I started, but that is obviously not your way, and it is amazing to see how it is all coming together. I can't wait to see the finished blanket now. Every Blessing for the Christmas season, and wishes for a healthy and peaceful new year. Kate xx

Merry Christmas! Wishing you joy, peace, love, and good health in the new year.

The progress of your sunny blanket looks great but I have fallen in love with the hexagon throw over your couch. Is this the "hexagon blanket" as seen in a 2008 post? The colours are beautiful. It's been an extremely hot couple of days here in Melbourne, Australia over 40 degrees but my interest to create such a beautiful throw has just been heightened, hot weather and all!!
Have a peaceful time with your family and friends over the Christmas season.
