I am so excited to share PART 2 of the Sunny CAL with you today, I've been working very hard this week making a full tutorial for the Log Cabin Squares.
For those of you who joined me last week (here is the CAL PART 1), I really hope you've made a great start with your Sunny Granny Squares? It doesn't matter if you haven't finished all 16 of them, so long as you have two ready with all ends darned in, you can hop straight in to Part 2 and begin work on your first two Log Cabin squares.
This week, I am going to show you how to crochet your square round the Sunny centre.
You will need 18 colours of Stylecraft Special DK from the Sunny yarn pack for this square.
The SUNNY LOG CABIN PATTERN is HERE!!
The Sunny Log Cabin Pattern is in the left hand sidebar of my blog. Go HERE to find it. As with all my patterns, I've written a very comprehensive tutorial with lots of pictures to help you. At this time there is no downloadable pattern, but I have written out an abbreviated version of the pattern that you can copy and print if you wish. You can find it at the end of the Sunny Log Cabin tutorial.
As well as the actual pattern, this week I've given colour lists for the first two squares. Each Sunday for the next 7 weeks, I will give you the information for two more squares, until we have 16 in total. Here is the information for Squares 1 and 2 ...

In addition to the Log cabin blanket, I am also loving using the same Sunny colours to make a Granny Stripe blanket. This is a wonderful pattern for newbie hookers, and the simplicity of it makes it very addictive!
The Granny Stripe Blanket pattern is in the left hand sidebar of my blog. You can find it HERE. Each week I'll be listing my random colour sequence, working on 18 stripes at a time.
Here is the colour list for the Granny Stripe Blanket Part 1 (picture above) ::

I have worked hard and tonight I have used all 18 colors. I love the way the granny stripe is looking. The yarn is thinner than what I've used before but I love it!! It feels silky and I'm going to order more of this yarn. I know there was a little mix up but I think these were the colors I was meant to have. Now to do the next part. I'm going to a quilt retreat for three days and I'm taking this project along. Always nice to have several different things to do. Thanks for your help Lucy and for doing all of this work. You are appreciated by many!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
