I love your beautiful cushion! You are such a color genius! It makes me happy just to look at it. I have been working on the Granny Stripe and also the Cottage Ripple blanket. (I know---I'm a little crazy to work on 2 at the same time--but that's how I am.) I can't tell you how much joy I get every time I add a new color! They are all so beautiful and I like the random way you chose for the order of colors. I think crochet--especially "Lucy" crochet is good for the soul. It calms me and brings me joy. Thanks so much for your wonderful blog!

Thanks so much for the tutorial on these beautiful squares. Your blog brings me so much pleasure. The pics of what ever your working on at the time, your walks (I'm a walker too), the flowers, and of course, the food! All so lovely!

What wonderful pictures and explanations for making the squares. I did copy out the whole thing and one day (yet to be determined) I plan on trying to actually crochet at least one square just to know that I can do it. I don't know how to crochet, but how hard could it be? It's just that I do paint, and knit, garden, and read and there are only so many hours in a day. Considering squeezing in a new thing takes some thinking about. But one day I WILL try it and see how it goes.
The throw is really beautiful and I love the colors.

Hi Lucy, I've tried to find a way to message you privately but can't, but I did want to let you know that an Australian website is selling your yarn packs without giving you credit, feel free to email me and I can give you the details if you would like. Apart from that, love your work - thank you so much. I would love to buy you a coffee or get send some commission your but there doesn't seem to be a secure way to do it from aust.

Brilliant tutorial, Lucy. I have just written a 7 day blog to let my sponsors know how I got on with my charity challenge of "Living on £1 a Day". I must have taken all of 7 photos and written a little text each day and it was murder. For you and all the other bloggers, I have nothing but unbounded admiration.

Just visited your attic again, always lovely to read. I'm very excited about the fact I'm making my own ripple blanket now, in sunflower colours: yellow, greens en browns. What a nice pattern to work with, thank you! And a lovely week for you from Holland!

I really like this idea as there are often times when you have a couple of minutes to spare for all sorts of reasons either at home or on the go and a few ball and crochet hook is all you need so very portable too! Thank you......

I really like this pattern. I used it with 4 rounds to make a blanket for our new daughter in January with a fun pom pom border. Now I'm making a whole lot of 2 round squares to form an Autobot symbol (from Transformers) for a blanket for my son.

The long awaited squares. How wonderful. I've gathered all my bits and pieces and am settling down to hook some cute ones.
Thanks for all your sharing and all your hard work.((hugs))

Dear Lucy, I'm the German lady in Coopers Cafe on Friday morning, and this comment isn't on the solid granny but on the small Yorkshire spinners company which's name slipped my memory on Friday morning (I don't know which other way to let you know, sorry!): It's YARN STORIES, I'm sure you know.
Thank you again for your kindness, I was absolutely impressed.
Warm regards, Ingeborg

You are amazing, Lucy. Thank you for taking the time to put this together for all of us. It is much appreciated.

Meant to say, I spotted a lady with a "Lucy" bag yesterday. Pity I was in the car, otherwise I would have spoken to her and extolled your virtues with her. I've been planning to make one for ages, and seeing it in the flesh so to speak, has fuelled my enthusiasm. Only trouble is, I've got so many other Lucy projects to make! You'll have to slow down to let us all catch up!
