About Me

  • Thank you so much for visiting me in the Attic, it's lovely to see you. My name is Lucy and I'm a happily married Mum with three children. We live in a cosy terraced house on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales in England which we are slowly renovating and making home. I have a passion for crochet and colour and love to share my creative journey. I hope you enjoy your peek into my colourful little world x

What a pretty blanket you're making! I loved the photo of your new sofa all cozied up with your colorful blankets and cushions.. and really enjoyed your reality check explanation of a happy busy family day. I'm looking forward to seeing your blanket ta-dah! ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

Everything you do Lucy sets me sizzlin'!

At least if it's an IKEA sofa it will take a bit of bashing before it attempts to eat another member of your family! The good thing is that it was J so you're allowed to laugh :-) Love the blanket, "Harmony" is the right name for it, the colours are very soothing xx

Hooked on a Feeling! 😉

Fell in love with this blankie already. The colors are gorgeous! Please include the instructions with the yarn pack. Sofa looks so comfy. I just rearranged my hobby room and made space next to the window to place a comfortable chair. Looking forward to some good natural light for my crochet projects. Thanks for sharing your blanket and beautiful pictures! Have a wonderful blessed week.

The colors in your new blanket are just beautiful, Lucy.
Your new grey sofa is the perfect background for the riot of colors in your crochet!

Oh my goodness, I laughed so hard reading that last bit, about the old couch swallowing J!! That brought quite a bright spot to my boring day at work. (Don't tell my boss!)

Your Harmony blanket looks lovely, my dear, just like everything you create. I can't wait to have made a blanket with every Lucy color pack there is available!

I always love your work Dear Lucy.
You are really very very talented !!!
Looking forward to the tutorial.

Love the sofa, the swallowing story lol and of course allll of your creations. You be careful missy. Bare feet and lego's do not mix. Nothing hurts worse than stepping on one of those little buggers.

Gorgeous blanket and what a lovely new sofa. Ours has had a hard life too, there may be a trip to Ikea in our future before long as well. I'm hanging on as long as I can though! I just hope it goes out in similarly spectacular fashion, although knowing my luck it will be me who is swallowed whole. CJ xx

Another wonderful creation. How do you do it all? Thanks for sharing and look forward to seeing the edging. The sofa looks good too, a blank canvas to show off all the hooky scrumminess! xx

First time here and I have to say you are a joy to listen (read) too you keep it light and simple and real ..and do beautiful work in the. Middle of it all you must be a joy to be around. Looking forward to visiting often and seeing your creations. I must also confess I have envy for where you are Grandparents came from England ( as far as I can tell somewhere around Nottingham) and I have always wanted to go and explore. It has not happened yet but who knows I still have a few good senior years in me it may happen yet.again Thanks for a delightful journey

Lucy, It's simply B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L.!!!

I love the harmony blanket ! Am very very tempted to start even though I promised myself that I would finish the one I'm currently working on. I'm a slow crocheter....love your new sofa too.

It's lovely, as are all your blanket creations! I love the border of each block color, I'm itching to try my hand at a grey-ish edged one. I too am currently on the edge of a blanket, a tapestry heart blanket(gift). Two rows out of nine to go, of five colors. Which has been hot to work on since our summer temps are in full swing here. It too was worked in vertical rows.(WIP Picture on Flickr.) Have a great one!

Hi Lucy, the Harmony blanket is gorgeous, I just can't wait to get started. I am now without a crochet project so please can you tell me when you think the Harmony pack will be available on Wool Warehouse. I'm itching to get going! Thank you for all your wonderful inspiration and fabulous ideas you pass on. Thank you Alison
