About Me

  • Thank you so much for visiting me in the Attic, it's lovely to see you. My name is Lucy and I'm a happily married Mum with three children. We live in a cosy terraced house on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales in England which we are slowly renovating and making home. I have a passion for crochet and colour and love to share my creative journey. I hope you enjoy your peek into my colourful little world x

So glad summer warmth has arrived in your area. It is such a welcome change after winters chilly blasts and ugly cold damp weather. Pictures are lovely as always. So enjoyable.
Hope ya'll have a great weekend.

I crochet these squares to use as my colour samples the same way you use your pegs.
Cushion will be beautiful.

It looks lovely - I too love the warmth of the summer sun. Reminds me of being in Africa and the colours of the lovely Yarn I bought back with me so us crocheters and knitters in the UK can also benefit from it xx

I look forward to checking your blog daily. I'm always a bit deflated when there isn't a new one, but I totally understand! I so enjoy seeing the English countryside (and seaside) through your eyes. You've really made me want to visit. Definitely on my list of future travels! And I love all of your hooky bits! Thanks so much.

Joan

Lovely photos and love the cushion. We spent last weekend in Skipton and had a great time. Joan at www.aviewtothefells.com

When I lived in the UK I was saving to buy a barge - but now I am living in Canada! It is funny how things work out :p the cushion will look fab!

Teresa Kasner

I'm happy for you that the sun and warmth is back! We had the same cool rainy days and now the sun is back! Wahoo! Love the canal boat and your colorful block crochet! Have a happy weekend! ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

I so wish I could put your corner of the world on my "bucket list" of places to visit while I'm still on this earth. It looks lovely - and walking along there must be just so relaxing!

And, of course, visiting Lucy's studio would be mandatory IF I were ever able to be there...

Please don't stop sharing your lovely walks - and your awesome hooky stuff! Using your pattern - and tutorial - your Blooming Cushion was one of the first things I tried when I started to crochet again - after many, many years away. It is still one of my favorite items - and one I'll cherish forever...I've told my children that I so hope one of them will take it when I go Home to my Father - and they will cherish it as much as I have!

Keep on Hooking, Lucy! we all love you dearly.

Jenny

LOVE the narrow canal boats! A lovely addition on the cushion cover. I'm currently hooking up some bunting for a yarn bombing project. Have a great weekend Lucy! <3
