About Me

  • Hello! Thank you so much for visiting me in the Attic, it's lovely to see you. My name is Lucy and I'm a happily married Mum with three children. We live in a cosy terraced house on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales in England which we are slowly renovating and making home. I have a passion for crochet and colour and love to share my creative journey. I hope you enjoy your peek into my colourful little world x

Holidays ending... it's not fun. But there are some parts of getting back to routine that are lovely. There are so many things about your routine you love, so hang onto those. And your delicious holiday memories and mementos. I'm lucky in that I get a kick out of getting home and getting tidied up and sorted out, but we are very different in that respect!

Winwick Mum

Hello, nice to see you back again! I do like your pebble with the hole in it, I've got a few of those. We're still lighting our fire at night too, and we've had some grim weather over the last few days. I've still got small daughter off school on holiday so I'm hoping it picks up so that we can get out and about without getting soaked! xx

Helen

i have to tell myself that I need to go to work in order to fully appreciate the holidays!
Nothing quite like the blue of the sea and the sky though.....*sigh* only 127 days till I can see it again......*sigh*

Sarah

I thought you might be down this way over the Easter holidays, I did look out for you on Eype beach! It is not so blue here anymore - the fog has come in this afternoon and evening and those views have disappeared! Sarah x

ADORE that picture of the sea! I was born in Cornwall, and grew up in Heysham on the coast in Lancashire - where I live now is about 10 miles from the coast, but it's just not the same. Hope your week of getting-back-into-routine-and-whatever-normal-is goes well - school kicked in for my eldest today, and work for hubby. Odd just being me and the littlest one! xxx

Rosie

Definitely know the feeling! We had a few days away in South Devon, with a mixture of cold winds, then glorious sunshine! Even got a little sunburnt! Crazy! Now it's cold and dull in the Midlands, and back to work today. Need to get out in my garden in some sunshine! Halfway through my granny stripe - the colours and comfort are cheering me up! Keep happy, knowing you're making others happy :)

I know what you mean Lucy. Its hard when the holidays end and getting back into the school routine. But, before we know it, it will be holidays again! Looking forward to more photos of your blanket WIP.

Feeling your pain right now. It's back to school for all of us here too tomorrow and I really can't get the motivation (and I'm the teacher!) We have been thinking about past holidays too today, lovely memories and have savoured every day of the past two weeks at home. Thank you for the excuse to stop my planning for a few minutes and escape again. Lovely pics as always. Sarah xx

Miriam

I feel your pain, we've just returned from our annual holiday to Fowey in Cornwall. It is heavenly and the only thing that makes me not too sad is that we have already booked for next year 😊

Sharon

I'm at the coast this weekend with my children & I've taken your coast ripple kit with me. On the 6th colour row just another 78 to go ...

Andrina

I was wondering how you were :) I hate coming home from vacation, too! The blues of the waters in Dorset are so restorative.

Robin Summers

I love blue! All the pics of the blues of Dorset are fantastic. I can totally understand the let down feeling of coming home after having such a great freeing time of a vacation. I can't wait to see the other pics. Rest easy Lucy things will start to look up once you get back in to the swing of things. :)
