I am so excited to come home and find week 6. I started a couple of weeks late and I finished week 5 a couple of days ago and had to wait for the next instructions. I used to crochet a lot but had some neck troubles and was advised by Dr to stop. So I did. I did a baby blanket last year, inspired by you. I had to join this CAL. I think I will not stop again. I want to make so many things.

Lucy, I've picked up on the brilliant clothes peg thing, and I've put a whole bunch of my yarns on pegs, it's so great, I can play with the colours so much more easily. Just one of the millions of handy I've learned on your blog. So thank you, yet again!

Beautifully done Lucy, you've made a really lovely job of it, and the colours are fantastic. I'll look forward to seeing the border, the most satisfying part I think. I do hope you're feeling completely better soon. CJ xx

Loving this simple pattern Lucy, I've made a few lovely thing, a yarn bag, cushion, now making a smaller yarn bag adapting the rows a tad. The ideas are endless. Hope you are feeling better. Cheers from sunny Brisbane, Maggie

It looks amazing Lucy, I am only on colour 15, but am loving the colours already, so warm and cosy. Onwards and upwards we go :). Have a good week :)

looking lovely and sorry to hear you are a bit under the weather. I've still not started mine yet as been busy with this Christmas lark - 11 more days at work and then I can make a start. Take care and feel better soon Xx lots of love Joy Xx

I'm so excited....I finished stripe 45 last night :) I'm making mine square, so not too far away from it being ready for the border now! I adore these colours Lucy and the way they're playing out against each other. This throw is such a joy to make. Hope you're feeling better and beating the germs.
Hugs from the land downunder :)

PS I love the greens, copper & raspberry for the border colours. I think mine will have those colours. Those yarn pegs are soooo cute :)

It's absolutely beautiful. I just started with leftover colors from the coast and cottage ripples, which I did as Christmas gifts. Just waiting for my Stylecraft order to arrive so I can continue. I think I will do the Cosy stripe just for me... Thanks for all your inspiration.. Feel better soon!

Incredible, Lucy, that despite feeling under the weather you can continue to inspire and generate enthusiasm among us, your loyal followers. It's stunning !~! You have put together a set of colors that sings to me and lots of others as is evidenced by the number of people who have joined the fun !~!

Job well done and I hope you are feeling chipper again soon.

Hi Lucy love the look of your blanket hope feel better soon. Sadly I have abandoned my effort tried twice ! must be either my counting or mixed tension it just turns all curly wurly ! will probably go for big granny squares and then join them up where there's a will there's a way love Jenny x

Feel well soon! Thanks for the ravelry link! I was looking for the posts there with the wrong name! I'm on stripe 35. Catching up, but haven't crocheted in three days. Hope to get a few rows completed today!

Bravo, Lucy.. it's fabulous and I love how you shared the progress and invited others to join in. You are such a generous person! It's wonderful to know you've created a family heirloom.

Lovely blanket, Lucy,it looks great on your bed! I'm in row 83 and can't wait to see it all done! Been a bit busy this week, but managed to crochet a few rows at night, although I have been falling asleep a couple of nights with my crochethook in one hand and the yarn still wrapped around my finger, this blanket is just soooo cosy and warm! My son and his wife love it so much that I'm to make one for them when I finished mine. x thank you for your blog and your inspiration. X

Hi Lucy, the blanket is looking fab! I'm feeling a bit lost at the moment as I've finished my Cosy Cottage Baby Blanket - might have to start a full size one. Hope you're feeling better soon!

Can't wait to see what's going to happen with the border, although I'm getting ahead of myself as I'm only on row 37!!!! Get well soon

Anne Marie

I just love the colours you have put in this blanket. They're so rich and warming. I've not had time to do mine with jobs at home and other things as I'm trying to have a sort out and declutter some things. I can't wait to get back into it.

How many packs of yarn does it take to make one the size of yours ? And are we able to order in the US?

Beautiful! Can't wait for my blanket to be this big! It looks so cosy!

Very pretty !!.... Love your patterns....I am working on one like this now. (but my colors are not as pretty)

Winwick Mum

It looks like just the right sort of blanket to snuggle under - whether you're under the weather or hiding from it in the winter! xx

Beautiful as usual. When I saw picture of the blanket on bed, I saw a small ruffle border on blanket. What are your thoughts. Feel better soon. I would also not put the raspberry in. Would use spice, gold, claret and copper

It is absolutely stunning, I especially love the photo of the blanket in your yard! Get well soon :-) xxxx

Another beauty Lucy! As I've said before, you have such a way with color. I've been hooking up some Christmas ornaments of late. Several baubles of yours in blue and white thread (on Flickr) and some stars in a royal blue yarn with sparkly thread that I've added beads to. Hope you feel better soon.xxxxx

I see you have raspberry in all four of your edging choices. That's the one color I'd leave out. Isn't it interesting how we all see and react to color differently. I have the kit for both this blanket and the sea colored one. I'm looking forward to working on them. Wrapping yarn around clothes pins is genius. I'm going to try that.
Enjoy the season of twinkly lights.
