About Me

  • Hello! Thank you so much for visiting me in the Attic, it's lovely to see you. My name is Lucy and I'm a happily married Mum with three children. We live in a cosy terraced house on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales in England which we are slowly renovating and making home. I have a passion for crochet and colour and love to share my creative journey. I hope you enjoy your peek into my colourful little world x

I just started following your blog since I just started using bloglovin. I love your beautiful pictures! Fall is my favorite season but since I live in Fairbanks, Alaska it only lasts a few weeks and then we get snow. I love to see how different things are in different areas too. We don't have things like those things in your hands. What are they??

I hope the recovery is still doing it's work and that you're feeling good. I've heard nothing but good things about Yarndale in blogs this year, seems like it was a roaring success. xx

Hey Lucy!
I saw this and it put a smile on my face, and knew you'd like it too.
(Where's the hammer?!) ;D

Lucy, you really do live in a beautiful part of the world, and you do a great job at capturing those "moments." Love your blog. Thanks for letting us take a peek into your life. Sending much love and hooky vibes from California.

I have been enjoying your blog, all the beautiful photos, dreaming of going to Yarndale. Maybe next year. I would really love to see pictures of all of the mandalas that (I think) you said you were going to hang. What an awesome idea. I know they are beautiful. Hope you are able to enjoy some rest this week!

I read your blog for the beautiful crochet and inspiration, but I am so jealous of your canal...you have No Idea! Such gorgreousness!

Hope zou are fully recovered by now, you deserve to have a good time now. The autumnal pictures you took look amazing, we are having gorgeous weather in Surrey as well :)

Hello, I Just stumbled upon your lovely blog. I have bookmarked you now and will follow when I can. I envy you living in Skipton. It is the place that my hubby and I will retire to if ever we should win the lottery. We have spent many a happy weekend there. x

Thank you for this post and for the beautiful photographs! They certainly restore the soul! I hope that you are feeling more restored by now.

I'm so glad Yarndale was a success! You work so hard for it :)

I gave in this week and ordered two Lucy Packs online - now I can't wait for them to arrive and try out a few of your beautiful rainbow patterns :D

So happy to read that Yarndale was a success.I am waiting patiently for pictures and details. The Flock and Fiber festival in Canby (Oregon) was so much fun. I thought of you, halfway across the world, and it made my experience even better.

Hello Lucy
I just knew your blog and I'm delighted with everything.
Thanks for your generosity to share so beautiful things with us.
I'm "recovering" (also) my old enchantment for needles.
Thank you very very much.
Hugs from Portugal

That looks like a perfect day and thank you for sharing your beautiful photos. The coffee and cake in particular looks scrummy!

To Jenny, re the yarn bombing...
I think you are mistaken!!
Only one thing was stolen this year and that was a crocheted sign made by me.
Did you make me a lamp post wrap?
Or something else?
Everything that was made was displayed and admired and is now safely packed up at my studio.
Please do get in touch, I hate to think of you feeling sad for nothing!
Love Lucyx

Welcome back to your regular schedule! I'm sure you had a fabulous time even though you are tired. Your pictures are wonderful. Enjoy your weekend!

Lovely photos as always. Glad you're recovering from Yarndale. We wanted to go but unfortunately were both suffering from heavy colds, it was such a nuisance. Looking forward to the report so that I can see what I MISSED!

It was a shame that so many if the creations lovingly made and donated and exhibited outside got stolen.

I looked and looked for mine then spoke to several other people whose work was missing too, then we were informed that many had been stolen.

I doubt I'll make anything for this event again.

I feel your pain....www.castlecountrystitchery.blogspot.com would love some more time to stitch right now! Lovely pictures :)

Lovely photos Lucy - it was so good to meet you in person at Yarndale. I am so eager to make a start on the ripple blanket I purchased love the colours. Just got to work out the 'ripple stitch'! Thanks for sharing your peaceful photos x

Lucy.....take time for yourself now....discover yoga.....you will love it. I am 57 years old and I been practicing yoga for ever, and I know, I just know that yoga "where it's at" sort of speak.
