I started a wavy ripply blanket months ago and its still not finished. I've lost interest a little, so I'm going to try and get it completed!

Susan

Oh, Lucy, you are such an inspiration! Your blankets are not only useful but true works of art. Thank you for sharing.

Rita Miller

Lucy, been enjoying your blog-again and as usual. So glad you are here. You are a bright spot. God bless you and your family.

Trang

OMG, I love those cakes and things in your basket. I love your blog, always so pleasant to read, and your house and your little garden. It makes me want to move to England... I'm not a creepy stalker I swear! :D

Jo

We had a den day yesterday too. Happy holidays. I have a great blouse make on my blog at the moment - check it out.

Lucy, love your posts. You seem to make time to smell the roses and enjoy the little things in life. Are you able to tell us the colours you have used in your seaside ripple. I think I have several of the colours but would need to top up on those I haven't got rather than buying the pack this time. Your help would be appreciated.

Susan

I agree with you, Lucy, that it is sometimes the smallest things that give us the greatest pleasure. I love the remnants of your holiday at the bottom of your yarn bag, your yarndale banner and your new crocs. And I love that your children made vans out of the blankets - imaginative and creative like their mom! Have a wonderful day. Susan

Hi Lucy,

Just to say that I have not just shelved the Watermelon idea 😀 We are caring for it in our polytunnel and will deliver it as and when we get to Saltaire.
I have Multiple Sclerosis and the Summer has not been such a good one for me.

Loving the delights of your posts, as always, and our granddaughter reaches for our iPad as soon as she arrives here to check out 'Your lovely friend at ATTIC24'! Her favourite description of you and your posts, ideas and photos is 'She/that/they are grand!' Children are fabulous aren't they?
She is learning to crochet and is progressing at a far faster rate than I am ... My hands have reduced sensation due to my MS and don't move as fast as or where I want them to. Extremely frustrating!

I'll message you when we are coming up ... if we can manage it, we would love to have a break in the area, so will see how I am.

Thanks for the delights of all you do,

Big love

sorting out my late mothers belongings. She was always trying out new crafts but really expert at knitting and sewing - even made my dads jackets! I have found several pieces of embroidery that I had not seen before besides all the framed ones. It is so good to be able to celebrate - albeit very quietly - her creativity, in the midst of the sadness.
So thank you Lucy for reminding me to look at the sunshine, to enjoy my own making and all the pleasures of family and friends. and Facebook too!!

Having nice soap is a such a simple luxury.

Emm.A

I'm going to buy myself some new soap too, today. Funny how this little things can make us happy! :)

No more hanging out the washing, me thinks. The knit and natter is brillant, they taught my kids finger knitting and my youngest sewing. It's such a joy to be going, even though with kids around don't get much done. It's such a joy reading the attic 24.

Joy

Gorgeous and colourful as always. Love the Yarndale hookey Xx Joy X

Rainbow! I haven't seen one in so long. Those stormy skies look eerily gorgeous, though. I'm kind of enjoying the chilly summer myself! :)

Oh and I forgot to say thank you for sharing your beautiful photos of the sky over Skipton, especially the rainbow! I'm a keen cloud watcher ! Jo xxx

Your knit and natter sounds such fun :-) The Yarndale banner is fab and I'm looking forward to seeing it in situ in lovely Skipton. By the way I was happy to hear that you're leaving your garden wall "au natural" and growing some pretty plants to climb up it :-) Love Jo xxx
