Thanks, Lucy, for sharing your fantastic walk with all of us, those photos are beautiful and make me feel I was right there! Lovely descriptions as well.

There are certainly so many wonderful places in the UK, shame that so many people fail to notice them!

Enjoy your weekend,

Ingrid

Hello!

I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed this post. This was my first visit to The Attic but I'm sure after this I will be back again.

I have bookmarked it for furture reference for if I ever venture to this part of the world.

Have a lovely evening.

It looks so much like Broadchurch, you know the tv show with David Tennant ? Is that the place ? It' s a magical place, not quite eerie and so beautiful nonetheless !

Joy

Oh my goodness Lucy what a tough walk and well done to you all for doing it. On reading your story it made me think how much I take our beautiful Island for granted because it is all here on our doorsteps, sea, sand, cliffs and glorious country walks and I certainly don't do enough walking and sightseeing as I should. We are visiting Dorset at the start of our journey to Skipton and will be looking at stopping at West Bay and looking for Watchhouse Café. You had a glorious week thank you for sharing Xx lots of love Joy XX

what a gorgeous place to go for a walk! I'm really bad at remembering sensible footwear when I walk, last year I hiked through Petra in flip flops!

Thank you so very much for your beautiful pictures and wonderful words. I live in California. This is the only way I will get to see your beautiful part of the world. And thank you for sharing your family, home, and studio. I always feel as if I've taken a little vacation when I read your blog. Also, I am both in awe of and inspired by your boundless creativity. I'm eagerly looking forward to your next installment. :-)

Inge

Thank you for the beautiful pictures!

Lovely post. Somewhere I'd love to get round to visiting one day. We (well, I) don't take time enough to enjoy our own beautiful country

It looks like a great walk. A little strenuous, a little scary, but you had a good time together and saw beautiful sights. It sounds like a perfect family outing to me. :)

What a gorgeous post, Lucy! Growing up in nearby Hampshire,I had many day trips to the Dorset coast as a child, and your photographs so remind me of them. The colours are stunning, and I must say, you're very brave tackling that ladder. Thank you for sharing your holiday memories x

Janet

You certainly picked the best week-- it's been getting progressively cloudy all this week and today the rain came down. Thanks for the wonderful description of your part of Dorset.

Dana

I am so enjoying your pictures and commentary! I feel as if I am there with you! Thank you!

What a brilliant post and well worth the effort for the views alone. I love hearing about some of the aspects of your holiday.
I'm currently up to February 2012 on your blog and am enjoying it immensely !!
You have helped me re discover my passion for baking along with teaching me to crochet!! Heartfelt thanks dear Lucy xx

Thank you for sharing your life and memories. I was raised near the California coastline which is VERY cold, and the ruggedness of the coastline is beautiful but also a challenge to hike in certain locations. I don't get to the coast as often as I should, but when I do it's like my first time as the views and crashing waves are incredible.

Again, thank you for sharing.
