Hello!

About Me

  • Thank you so much for visiting me in the Attic, it's lovely to see you. My name is Lucy and I'm a happily married Mum with three children. We live in a cosy terraced house on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales in England which we are slowly renovating and making home. I have a passion for crochet and colour and love to share my creative journey. I hope you enjoy your peek into my colourful little world x

While traveling is fun, it is nice to explore the areas close to home also. I just told my husband that we should try to visit a different State Park every weekend this summer. We have several within an hours drive. Lovely pictures of the lakes, boats, and reflections.

Well if you have to stay home for a holiday, at least it's a gorgeous place to start with! :)) Our schools are out for the summer here in the States and this past weekend was a holiday weekend, so it was lazy days on the porch and grilling out, homemade ice cream, hooking in the swing, so a staycation for us as well.(Saw a few boats heading to the water.)

There's something about water and boats that calms the soul, isn't there, and being outside is just magic. Glad the weather held out for you! xx

hi lucy Its so wonderful to see our old favourite walks and stomping grounds right here on my computer in Spain.Great to catch up on all those lovely colours, so green, the sky so blue in winter, the cow parsley. Fab here in Spain too, warm sunny weather, nightingales, veg plot blooming. Out now to do some damage to weeds which are also blooming. I just love your blog. Keep it coming. Freddie

This looks like a perfect break especially when the weather is so unsettled. We had quite torrential downpours yesterday and a bit of every season today.

It looks fabulous and very relaxing from the wide landscapes to the cheery little buttercup. Enjoy the rest of your holiday break.

Yorkshire gorgeousness... makes me miss my childhood towns and landscape. However loving The Lake District for the greenery, hills and good air. Enjoy your break before the madness of Yarndale moves up a gear! Karen xx
