About Me

  • Hello! Thank you so much for visiting me in the Attic, it's lovely to see you. My name is Lucy and I'm a happily married Mum with three children. We live in a cosy terraced house on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales in England which we are slowly renovating and making home. I have a passion for crochet and colour and love to share my creative journey. I hope you enjoy your peek into my colourful little world x

Great photos! So much green and so much sun! Germany is drowing in rain (I don't think it stopped to rain since sunday evening...), so it's lovely to see the prof that sun actually exists... :)

Take care

Beautiful buttercups! There seems to be so many of them this year. We live close to the Thames and that is our stomping ground for a little peace and quiet.

What a beautiful meadow, how lovely that it exists, places like this should be preserved. I've just recently realised that this is my favourite time of year as well, all that green, and all of those fresh flowers. Good luck with the remaining 71 posts, I shall look forward to reading them all. I hope you have a good week, CJ xx

Wow that is wonderful ...almost 1,000 expressions of love and memories kept for a lifetime...what a wonderful feeling. I love the yellow flowers and your blanket is just gorgeous.
I have not yet made a proper post of my Japanese flower blanket ( as I'm currently in the process of moving), but I did a quick sneak preview and have a couple of picture on my blog right now. It was a fun blanket to make and I'm already on to making another one.
Hope you have a wonderful week :)

Your area is so pretty, love meadows and it's nice to see all the flowers again, they seem to disappear some years ago, even our verges had lost their flowers. Thanks for such a pretty post. Happy blogging.

Susie

Wow! Close to 1000 posts! That is quite an achievement-- thanks for the beautiful words and pictures!

Thanks again Lucy for sharing your day with us. Brings back memories of times shared with our children when they were younger. Love your patch on earth , so peaceful and beautiful. Would love to visit one day. In the meantime, we get a glimpse of the country side which is completely different to us in dry Australia.can't wait to see your seaside ripple completed.

Carolyn

A meadow protected purely for its beauty- what a wonderful thing and what a lovely place to spend an afternoon.

What a lovely afternoon you had in a 'field of gold'. Here in suburban Sydney and surrounding countryside you would never see anything like this. A sight for sore eyes! Thank you for sharing Lucy, you live in such an enchanting area. I love this type of post as much as I love your crochet!

I so wish I could go traipsing about in the fields here without wondering if I would coming home with creepy crawlies on me. *sigh* The heat and humidity here are ridiculous. I so need to move to England. Your blog is my passport there. :)

Barbara

Looks like you and the kids had a fun filled day! I've been indoors more right now. Can't wait until you have that 1000 post!

Chris Porter

Memories are made of this! It's not the expensive trips or treats that children remember. It's the spending time together, guessing what the clouds look like, etc. Mine (now 34&32) still remember sitting on benches in town, with a can of fizzy and a sausage roll, just 'people-watching'!! Happy days xx

Carole Williamson

Gorgeous photos Lucy.
Can't wait for your 1000th post. Your posts are so fantabulous & inspirational.
Looking forward to Simply Crochet magazine this week.
Love Carole from Rossendale xx

I always love your photographs - thanks for letting us have a window into your world xx

I love a buttercup meadow too. Sitting in the park is spring is a lovely simple pleasure. I think you might enjoy a post I'm drafting at the moment, packed full of cow parsley and buttercup fields in Derbyshire. I'll be publishing it later :)

Hello Lovely Lucy as always such a treat to come and visit you and your wonderful family. I love buttercups as they are so innocent and fresh, the colour is just divine. Lucy what an achievement 1000 posts and I know that you will do it. I am hoping to do another course with you very soon, my little bird is on my wall in my little cupboard I call my sewing room. Have a wonderful week Lucy, sending you lots of loves and hugs. Dorothyxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

So pretty, all the winter rain has caused a buttercup epidemic. I've had daisies on my mind today as I've started working on a Summertime wreath so far I'm thinking Roses and Daisies. Enjoy the rest of the half term and good luck with 1000 by the end of the year
