About Me

  • Hello! Thank you so much for visiting me in the Attic, it's lovely to see you. My name is Lucy and I'm a happily married Mum with three children. We live in a cosy terraced house on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales in England which we are slowly renovating and making home. I have a passion for crochet and colour and love to share my creative journey. I hope you enjoy your peek into my colourful little world x

Lucy! I simply adore your work.... <3 If I get the chance to cross the ocean again, I will be attending one of your workshops for sure! Until then, I have a request. You know those puffy crocheted floor stools that look like a big poof ball? I want to make one so much but can't find a pattern that I can follow. Yours are so easy to follow and I was hoping you might put one on your (huge) to-do list for us! Thanks for all the color you add to our lives!

Lucy: I must add my voice to these hundreds of others in congratulating you on what you have achieved with Attic 24. What an amazing example you are of what a person can accomplish with passion and hard work. I see that someone else has already mentioned the "b" word: surely others have also suggested that you have more than enough projects, tutorials, family moments, wonderful photographs, and happy text to fill a book. The idea of having Attic 24 between two covers, to be able to leaf through the pages of your crochet life without using a computer, is utterly enchanting. I know you have lots on your plate, but perhaps when Little B. starts school? Just a thought. All the best to you and yours.

Happy birthday Lucy!! I and lots of people like me, are here and will be here for the years to come.
Thank you for existing, I would love to know you personally and tell you how you have helped me, just for existing, just to have your blog to read, in some not so pleasant times I went through, and that are now passed. I lost my job, and entered in a compulsory retirement...after 34 years of work and having raised five children, you, so young, so simple, helped me a lot. Thank you for existing. Congratulations for the beautiful human being you are!!

Pat

Hello Lucy.
Congratulations on your 6 year of blogging! I have loved your posts, some being your family caravan, your little bit of Yorkshire, streets and river, your love of up-cycling clothes, snippets of family life and ponderings over coffee and cooking in your lovely home, your progression to your craft studio and always a kaleidoscope of beautiful crochet. Thank you for sharing your personal journey...Every best wish for the next six years. Much love Pat x
