♥ the most gorgeous early Spring weather. Cloudless blue skies and gentle warmth. Fat buds and early blossom on the trees, the first daffoldils and lots of happy bird song. Unbelievably lovely, all of it ♥
♥ frilly scarlet tulips on my table, a £1.50 purchase from the supermarket yesterday ♥
♥ the sun streaming into the studio this morning. The little flowery heart was a project I made for Simply Crochet magazine (issue 15) ♥
♥ spending time at the studio. I sat working on a new project, chatting to Tracy as she worked hard on her new designs ♥
♥ loving our studio, it's such a wonderful room when the sun shines, so warm and light and inspiring. It's exactly a year since we finished decorating and moved in ♥
♥ a punnet of surprisingly juicy sweet strawberries brought from the market on my way through town this morning ♥
♥ sweet anticipation as I wait for my hyacinth to flower. This is supposedly a "red" variety which I have never had before, I absolutely can't wait to see the colour! ♥
♥ crochet goodness filling my home. Blankets, cushions and my beloved poncho, it's like being given a warm, visual hug when I walk into the room ♥
Hope you've had some truly happy moments in your day too......

Loads of happy in your day! Some of the same in mine, I picked a HUGE bouquet of daffodils from my garden, and they've filled the house with such a lovely scent, and such a cheery color of sunshine, which is so nice after a very long grey winter. Love your flower heart, and the green and purple bower bird. The bunting ribbon is adorable! Look forward to seeing the red hyacinths! Happy rest of the week!

Your Studio looks divine Lucy, so warm and welcoming. Congratulations for the 1st year! In Sydney, Australia we have a huge event called the Sydney Stitches and Craft Show (June'14). Sounds very much like Katja's event in Germany. Australia is such a vast space, the show travels to all the capital cities including Canberra. I think our most famous crocheters would be Jenny King and Judy Mapstone. Judie's 'crochet scrumbles' are incredible! She has a few books too. Jenny has a book on crocheted Australian flowers which is a rare treasure to have.

I looove your site soooo much! I so often sit down with a coffee, look and read at your site and enjoy it. It always gives me so many ideas and happy moments. Thank you for all your effort and hard work since I know that a site like this takes time and work to keep it updated. I hope you keep it going.
By the way, I live near Dortmund in Germany and every year Dortmund hosts Europes biggest market for creative hobbies and handcrafting. There are 8 halls with sellers from all over Europe, selling: wool, paper, fabrics, paint, beads, buttons, ribbons...everything you can imagine. It is huuuuuge! I go every year with my Mom, we speed through and just visit the stands we are interested in. Still takes all day.
I thought this would be really interesting for you and maybe you can come one day.
Here is the link: http://www.westfalenhallen.de/messen/creativa/en/index.php
It starts next week and I am exited! You can actually have a look at the list of sellers, to see what is offered.

Hi Lucy I'm not sure how else to contact you? I have a yarn store in Brisbane Australia and wanted to ask your permission to teach the lovely little bower birds that you have been workshopping yourself. Love what you do!
regards
Sue

I've just realised that it's a year ago since I read your blog post on your 5th blogiversary, and I was inspired to start a blog of my own. It's been a really enjoyable experience Lucy, thank you so much for the continuing inspiration. And Happy 6th blogiversary.

What beautiful photos, Lucy. I too, really enjoyed the gorgeous blue skies. Those crochet goodies are just so yummy - I think I might have to make myself a cushion cover like that - it'd look so good with my little granny squares cushion and my blooming flower!

What a wonderful blue sky that is! We've had similar weather in Winwick today - it makes your heart soar to see the sunshine, doesn't it? Can't believe it's a year since you moved into your Studio - doesn't time fly?! xx

It's wonderful to see the signs of Spring - we went for a long walk with our collies today and it was my first day out without a warm coat on. The birds were flitting about in the woods, we saw a woodpecker and buzzards and the trees are full of early blossom - all bright and beautiful - like your cushions and poncho!
