♥ the most gorgeous early Spring weather. Cloudless blue skies and gentle warmth. Fat buds and early blossom on the trees, the first daffoldils and lots of happy bird song. Unbelievably lovely, all of it ♥
♥ frilly scarlet tulips on my table, a £1.50 purchase from the supermarket yesterday ♥
♥ the sun streaming into the studio this morning. The little flowery heart was a project I made for Simply Crochet magazine (issue 15) ♥
♥ spending time at the studio. I sat working on a new project, chatting to Tracy as she worked hard on her new designs ♥
♥ loving our studio, it's such a wonderful room when the sun shines, so warm and light and inspiring. It's exactly a year since we finished decorating and moved in ♥
♥ a punnet of surprisingly juicy sweet strawberries brought from the market on my way through town this morning ♥
♥ sweet anticipation as I wait for my hyacinth to flower. This is supposedly a "red" variety which I have never had before, I absolutely can't wait to see the colour! ♥
♥ crochet goodness filling my home. Blankets, cushions and my beloved poncho, it's like being given a warm, visual hug when I walk into the room ♥
Hope you've had some truly happy moments in your day too......

Dear Lucy,
I so hope you can help me. I am trying to contact Jacquie (Bunny Mummy)but cannot leave a comment on her blog. I bumped into her as we left Yarndale - infact she mentioned me on her blog and I think we may share Howarth connections as I used to go on holiday there. I have been so inspired by her blog and yours and am so grateful for the inspiration you have both brought into my life. I can now crochet - yay! I would love to be in touch with her if you could possibly pass my details on to her so she could contact me if she would like to "chat" I would be so grateful. A big ask I know.
With thanks for all you so generously share, Jo.

I LOVE your blog - all those bright colours, just the colour of happiness :) May I ask....do you crochet, pin or glue the flowers on to a heart shape to make the little wreath or do you just starch them into a heart shaped ring?? Xx

We're having beautiful blue skies like that today here, so with frigid temps back in the single digits. The white birches look so gorgeous against a crisp blue sky. And I have some pretty pink tulips on my kitchen table also, they do make it feel like spring! I'll be interested to see the red hycainth - my pink one is on the way out now - it has moved from the sweet smell of Spring to the sickening smell of past-its-prime-move-it-outside.

Hello Lucy, I have another 'happy' for you! I wonder if you are aware that Jacquie who blogs as Bunny Mummy, gave you a very sweet and generous 'shout out'! She too has just been published in Simply Crochet magazine where her cowl pattern is featured. And she mentioned you in the article. It's so wonderful to read of bloggers supporting each other :)

Happy studio anniversary! I can't believe it's been a whole year since we first followed you in to your studio, peeking over your shoulder and sharing your excitement. I hope that one day I'll be able to come along for a workshop and see it for real. The sight of pink blossom against a blue sky makes my heart soar and is one of my favourite seasonal treats. I too am looking forward to seeing your hyacinths opening :-) love Jo xx.

Your photo's also make me smile! I love colour too! My house is full of colour! The Red Hyachinth sounds interesting. I bought a bunch Blue Hyachinths and White Tulips 10 days ago in an Lydl shop, they are still perfect and the scent is amazing! I look forward to your next set of photos. Your workshop is my idea of heaven!

Such beautiful spring pictures! I enjoy the weather here, too, but I have the feeling that winter will hit at least once until May.
