Oh my. I look at these images that capture my year and I suddenly feel a weeny bit emotional, a bit choked up actually. I feel so blessed, so grateful for this time in my life that is giving me such happiness. It's been a good year here in the Attic, a full and busy year for sure. A year with a couple of extreme highs (my Studio, and Yarndale of course) and loads of happy mediums. I have loved our family time this year, the walks and picnics, the little jaunts away to the coast, and the summer spent with Connievan.
I have loved watching my Little People grow and thrive (seems they have grown so much this year). Seeing them step so confidently into new academic settings has been such a good thing. I'm so proud of them. I want more than anything for their childhood to be dusted with happiness and love, and chocka block full of good memories.
This is the sixth end-of-year that I've blogged about here in the Attic. I've written 141 posts this year and I continue to love everything about this Blogworld that we are all a part of. It's pretty marvellous, don't you think? Thank you so very, very much for your visits, for your sweet and enthusiastic words, for keeping me company as I skip through my days. Wishing you a wonderful, creative, happy, colourful New Year. It's going to be a good one.

Happy New year to you and your family. I stumbled upon your blog trying to find instructions to crochet a baby blanket for my grandson. I have followed it now for about two years and love looking at the pictures of your town and your work. I live in Romeo Michigan and it tickles my heart to hear the way you describe everyday things in such poetic and happy words. Thanks for bringing a smile into so many of my days!

You are amazing to do so much for us all and busy with your lovely family too. The years photos would make such a lovely calendar, just lovely to look at, we are lucky to be able to look whenever we want. We have a lovely sunny day here in NZ today for the beginning of another great year.
Thankyou, Caro NZ.

Thank you so much. It must have taken you ages! I liked the way there were little photos of things I had not noticed or missed throughout your posts like the snail and the marshmallow in the biscuit. No Year end for me, I am new to this blogging, my year end is yet to come! Jo x

Ps: I keep meaning to email you but as I'm here...... Inspired by your tulip red dye experience I bought some Dylon navy blue and coloured a nice coat I only wore for about a year but it had lost some colour and gone purple in places - from a lightish blue. It's a fab success and looks like a new coat! TY for the inspiration x
