Oh my. I look at these images that capture my year and I suddenly feel a weeny bit emotional, a bit choked up actually. I feel so blessed, so grateful for this time in my life that is giving me such happiness. It's been a good year here in the Attic, a full and busy year for sure. A year with a couple of extreme highs (my Studio, and Yarndale of course) and loads of happy mediums. I have loved our family time this year, the walks and picnics, the little jaunts away to the coast, and the summer spent with Connievan.
I have loved watching my Little People grow and thrive (seems they have grown so much this year). Seeing them step so confidently into new academic settings has been such a good thing. I'm so proud of them. I want more than anything for their childhood to be dusted with happiness and love, and chocka block full of good memories.
This is the sixth end-of-year that I've blogged about here in the Attic. I've written 141 posts this year and I continue to love everything about this Blogworld that we are all a part of. It's pretty marvellous, don't you think? Thank you so very, very much for your visits, for your sweet and enthusiastic words, for keeping me company as I skip through my days. Wishing you a wonderful, creative, happy, colourful New Year. It's going to be a good one.

Wow. You must be the most privileged person I've ever seen - who pays for this most beautiful indulgent life? I assume you have a rich husband!!

Hi Lucy
Just wondering whether the French Bower Bird tutorial is available? I am keen to make a wreath of some kind based on "welcome to our nest", with a mummy, daddy and baby bower bird sitting at the bottom!
thanks

Happy new year Lucy and your lovely family! I just wanted to say that my issue of Simply crochet arrived this morning and I think your first article is fab :-) I've been trying to decide on a design for my first ever crocheted blanket, and I'm now completely inspired to embark on my own blanket journey! Happy New Year to you and your family Lucy. I don't very often leave a comment although I am a regular reader of your blog and sometimes visit more than once a day for a wonderful colour 'fix'. Looking forward to another year of your lovely blog :) xx

Hello Lucy, happy new year! I´m from Germany and my english isn´t pefect but I really love your blog! Even if I don´t understand every word. I am always happy when I see, you posted something new. When I read your words and see the pictures I am always in another world. It is full of joy and love. I love your crochet things. Even if you are so far away, it feels if I am really close.

Happy new year Lucy!
Because of you, I have finally learnt to crochet (something I'd wanted to do for years but you inspired me to ACTUALLY do it with your addictive colours!) Because of you, my new year's resolution is to enjoy and savour each moment. Because of you, I have subscribed to Simply Crochet and am looking forward to receiving it through my door each month to then sit and read with a big mug of tea. Because of you, I too am addicted to Rice products!!!!
Thank you for such a beautiful blog!

I'm so glad to have found your blog a few months ago. You have inspired me to crochet and take a little break from stitching samplers every now and then...since stitching is my first love. Your photos of the past year are chock full of love, colour, happiness and joy. It's a great way to look back and see 2013 chronicled. Take care and I'll be coming back for more this year!!

Hey Lucy.
I want to crochet the cute little deer from simply crochet issue 6, but the back issues are sold out and there are no digital downloads available that I can find. Help!
Thank you!
Your stuff is awesome! We love your blog!

Happy, happy, happy! I discovered both your blog and crocheting about a year ago. I found that I had lost the "color" in my days and seeing your use of color and how happy it makes you has inspired me to enjoy the colors also. The best to you and yours in 2014!

Looking at your Year In Review photos, I thought how lovely it would be to have an Attic 24 calendar! Have you ever considered creating and selling one?
