You have one of the most colorful blogs in blogland. I love coming here because it always makes me so happy. I don't know how to crochet, but I have always enjoyed seeing all your beautiful crochet creations. Happy New Year to you and your wonderful family.

Hi Lucy,
What a perfect way to capture the year's end! I have followed your blog for some years now and enjoy your posts very much. The roundup of your pics in this post are so inviting and delightful, filled with warmth, color and all the things you love. I like them all. Two are particular favs, the one of you holding your little son's hand and the one of Little B's feet sticking out of the cozy blanket. Those are the moments that say sooo much in a photo. You have probably heard a thousand times that your time with your little children will go fast. I know that I heard that often when I was raising my own children, I thought every time I heard that saying that they must be kidding since when you are in the day to day routine you don't always think it is going by so quickly. But now it has come true, they are 24 and 21 now and I would give anything to hold their little hands and see their little feet poking out from a cozy blanket.
Thank you soo much for letting us peek into your world in beautiful Yorkshiredale, your wonderfully, inspiring crochet, lovely studio, trips, outings and moments with your family in and out of your charming home. Keep enjoying your life and best wishes for a safe, healthy and very happy 2014!

What a lovely home, so bright and colorful. Cheery. Beautifully captured.

I really like the cute pillows you have on your sofa - gave me some ideas! And the crocheted flower pot cover with the bee on it is just adorable. Since my husband used to keep bees, I have a soft spot for bee decorations.

Feeling very warm and fuzzy after that lot of pics :) Some beautiful inspiration too. Happy New Year to you and your family Lucy. I hope 2014 brings you as much joy as this year has.

Hi Lucy,

I discovered your blog early this year and look forward to visiting it every day. Your crochet projects inspire me, but more importantly, I love your simple outlook on life and the importance of family, love, togetherness.

Wishing you and your family a wonderful and colorful new Year!

Thank you so much for sharing your home with us. It looks just perfect, something from a magazine. You are just an amazing homemaker! No matter where you live or how much space one has---it is never enough. Even if you moved, if you are anything like me, any spare space would be filled within days. More space, more yarn, more stuff. Your home is absolutely beautiful.

Images of a bright, cheerful, cozy, home for a happy family. Love the cross stitch piece (a future project perhaps?..)I've been doing the same, strolling through a year of photos, it's a wonderful way to reflect over the past year, and a guide line in many ways for the next. Thanks Lucy for inspiring and sharing your bright, cheerful, cozy world! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Absolutely beautiful Lucy. The one with his little hand in yours still melts my heart. Wonderful. And you do colour like no-one else. The picture with the sun shining in from one end of the room, and the bunting is lovely too. As are they all. Looking forward to tomorrow's. And to following you next year. CJ xx

Thanks for the tour. Our lives move in similar patterns, so your picture tour is a lovely reminder of wonderful birthday, Easter and seasonal celebrations of my own. So many blessings!!

Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your blog is always here to reassure me that home is where the heart is. I love looking at the pictures of your beautiful home and Connie van. My children (two girls aged 23 and 24) are just finishing university and soon will be busy finding their own niche in the world (one already has - with a nice Engish boy in England!). I hope they will always see our home, where they grew up, as a cozy, warm, welcoming refuge where the doors will always be open.

I think this might be one of my most favourite Attic 24 posts ever!

Home is more than bricks and mortar. It's that feeling of sanctuary and calm you get when you walk through the front door. The desire to fill it with colour and laughter and memories.

We've lived in our house for 12 years now and it's far from perfect. When Davey flexes his DIY muscles and moans about the walls being made of cheese and the cowboys who did the plumbing, it doesn't matter a jot. I love my home to bits.

Your love for your home shines out of your blog posts. I adore that. It's a complete and utter joy.

Thanks so much for sharing it with us.
