About Me

  • Thank you so much for visiting me in the Attic, it's lovely to see you. My name is Lucy and I'm a happily married Mum with three children. We live in a cosy terraced house on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales in England which we are slowly renovating and making home. I have a passion for crochet and colour and love to share my creative journey. I hope you enjoy your peek into my colourful little world x

Hi Lucy your wreath is going to be another characterful cacophony of colour!!! I'm sure and I can't wait to see it complete. Please let me know when you are planning more workshops because I would love love love to attend. Many thanks for all your inspiring work and generosity. Jacky x

Your wreath is turning out beautifully so far, love those sunflowers!

Wish Canada was just a smidge closer so that I could pop by for one of your workshops but alas I'll just have to read and daydream about them over here sitting under a pile of sweaters and scarves and blankets trying to keep warm this winter!

I can't wait to see that wreath full of stuff! It looks beautiful already but with all the peeks of little bits we've seen so far it's going to look so neat!

So great to see your studio working, and looking so awesomely cozy! You've done such an incredible job on it! Love it! I wish I could visit it at least once in my life.

I can't wait to see this ta-dah! I wish I could just live in The Studio; it's so cosy and cheery, and just speaks to my soul. I was telling my own not-so-little B about all of your wreaths, to which he replied that I need to make one for each season as well, and that winter needed to be Christmassy. Ah, great minds think alike! You have inspired him, as well! xx

Lucy your studio looks so pretty and cozy. I think your wreath is pretty too even before the other decorations. Love the colors. I wish for you and Tracy great success and lots of fun on your workshops!

Ohhh wow! Please keep me informed about the workshops!!! I work on Sundays so Saturdays would be just fab! I fell in love with the studio and Skipton itself when i journeyed up to you by train for Yarndale! It was a great adventure and i can't wait to repeat it!! I also want to buy a Mr.Fox from Tracey so will hv to head north!! X

Hermosísimo tu estudio<<<<<<<<<<1felicitaciones!

Hello lovely. I'm so glad your first workshop was a success. Your wreath is looking fab already, I can't wait to see the end result groaning under the weight of critters, leaves, toadstools and the like.

We must get together for a coffee, before the madness of Christmas is upon us! I'll email you. xx

I can't think of a cosier place to be on a rainy Saturday afternoon than your studio full of yarn and fabric! I would also love to come to one of your workshops one day. I'm just at the stage of making the wrapping for my Christmas wreath, and then on to finishing all the fiddly ends of my stars, leaves etc and sewing it all on. I don't know what's more exciting, the thought of having my wreath finished for my own personal Ta-dah, or seeing your Autumnal confection! Happy decorating Lucy :-) Jo xx

I'd be very interested in coming to one of your Workshops, can you add me to the list please?

It's going to be beautiful Lucy, please keep me updated about any up coming workshops I would love to attend sounds like fun, looking forward to seeing the finished wreath. :)

I'm so excited to see the ta-dah of your Autumn wreath! I cheated a bit with mine and used the base cover from my spring one, just unpinned all the daffodils and pinned on the sunflowers, acorns and such. So glad the workshop went well, how could it not?! If only that pond wasn't between us and so big...I'd be there for sure. lol Happy hooky this week :)

I would love to know about your workshops. Prob live just near enough to make it in a day. Looking forward to seeing the Autumn wreath.

Loving the new wreath. Your studio looks so cozy and inspiring. I'm relatively local so I'd love to hear about forthcoming workshops- especially crochet ones! Hoping to meet you in person sometime in the new year, but until then please keep sharing on your lovely blog.

Your wreath base is gorgeous, excited to see what it looks like with all your fun bits added on and the rag rug workshop sounds really fun. I'd love to some over for a workshop in the future some time

I had a great day on Saturday, my wreath is now totally finished, though I was lazy and hung a metal star in the centre, it would never have got finished otherwise! It was lovely to meet you, Rachel and Tracy and I'm looking forward to another workshop one day. By the way, I found myself suffering from 'prodders elbow' on Sunday, don't know if any one else was the same!

I would really like to be kept informed of the workshops, another caravan break in Skipton would be fun xx

What on earth is that comment above about muscle building for skinny men?!

Your wreath is looking gorgeous, can't wait to see the finished product. As much as I'd love to come to one of your workshops but alas it is a tad far to come from New Zealand!
