About Me

  • Hello! Thank you so much for visiting me in the Attic, it's lovely to see you. My name is Lucy and I'm a happily married Mum with three children. We live in a cosy terraced house on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales in England which we are slowly renovating and making home. I have a passion for crochet and colour and love to share my creative journey. I hope you enjoy your peek into my colourful little world x

Amy at love made my home

I love that you are so excited about your wreath making! It is lovely to see how much you are enjoying it. I am excited to see it deconstructed and finally sewn together! xx

Hi Lucy what a fabulous post, love the colours too, so vibrant and alive, my favourite time of the year. I can't wait to see your finished wreath I know it will be outstanding as everything you do is. Have a fabulous week Lucy. Lots of love

I'm so jealous! We don't get much color or even temperature change here in Florida to signal the seasonal change. It's purely in name only!

Looking forward to seeing your deconstructed wreath !

It certainly has been the most beautiful Autumn, such a boost! Can't WAIT to see the wreath, hurry up! :) xxx

Yes, yes me too, been raving about the autumn colours on the tree's this year, stunning and glorious. Only recently discovered your Facebook page and blog, thanks for sharing with us. I've been making the crochet snowflakes this weekend.

Oh you are tormenting us, making us wait for the big ta-da! A great idea to photograph all of the pieces though, it will no doubt look incredible. I love cherry trees too, I was just looking at some truly stunning ones today thinking how wonderful they are in autumn. Hope you have a good week Lucy.

We often prune all of our plants very hard in the early winter and they look like they'll never survive but they always do. Some of them I actually kind of hoped wouldn't come back but they were real fighters. :) I've noticed that the fall color in my part of the world has been much more vibrant this year too; in our case, I think it's because we're slowly coming out of a very severe drought. We have a long way to go but it's nowhere near as bad as it was for the past few years. So I think the additional water may have helped the trees look prettier this fall.

Oh I so love your photos. They're a lovely reminder of my days living in Hebden Bridge & Mytholmroyd. And this time if year is such a delight. I love the low light and long shadows alongside those gorgeous colours. Looking forward to seeing your finished wreath.

Adoro seus trabalhos, tudo tão lindo e cheio de cor!! Parabéns..

My Grandad was a friut farmer, and he always used to prune the trees in the garden right back in very scary looking way, but they always bounced right and thrived for it. I can't wait to see your wreath, pinning it all on is the most fun bit.

Autumn is a fave of mine, and I hate to see the leaves go, as they mostly have here. It's a snuggly kind of day here, and I've been knitting presents (shocking ,I know, instead of hooking them).Look forward to you photo hooky journey. Be sure to snap a shot before you unpin it all, or you'll never get it all back on the same way ( been there, done that!) lol

Loving your autumn photos, it's been a beautiful season. Looking forward to seeing the finished wreath. Sarah
