There has been a pleasurable rhythm to the past few days as I've been going about my quiet business. I've been out a lot of the time, lots of to-and-fro walking as I deliver and collect the Little People, purchase groceries, attend meetings, meet friends for coffee, run errands. The weather has been kind. Gorgeous in fact, mild and still and perfect for enjoying the Autumn season.
My home-time during the past few days has also been sweet. I have filled the hours with writing, photographing, baking, snuggling, reading, singing, tickling, crocheting, cooking, firelighting, daydreaming.
This morning, I enjoyed a stroll in the woods with Heather and her gorgeous little boy, collecting leaves and getting rather muddy. This afternoon, Little B and I baked oaty cookies, filling the house with the most delicious smell. Later, I roasted the market squash and made risotto for dinner, it was so tasty and comforting.
Inside and Out, I am always so uplifted by the colours of my world. Colour makes my heart and soul sing such a happy tune.

Lovely photos! You've managed to capture the beauty of Autumn! A much maligned season!! Most of my friends see Autumn as the end of the Summer & the start of Winter! So I drag them out into the woods to show them how wonderful it really is. I love your blog & I have learnt so much from your Crochet makes! A big hooky Thank You.

I loved seeing your colorful in and out photos! We're having color inside and out too.. I'm not sure if you've read my blog.. but our son and his family are living with us now.. so we have our 4 and 5 year old grandsons with us all the time now. So, we have the busy little people here, too! Lots of coloring and such. I'm glad things have slowed down a bit for you.

Such beautiful colours Lucy, you are a master at finding them. Life is wonderful in the autumn when everything becomes darker and cosier. I'm a bit in love with that garden too, it's lovely.

A lovely time of it, in and out. The colors left here of Autumn is mainly yellow and brown, sadly most of the leaves are gone, which I've been raking a fair bit of them up and adding to the garden and chicken yard. I've been working on Christmas gifts, so a lot of time in. The risotto sounds yummy, and the oaty cookies sounds very much like the ones my grandmother always had in her cookie jar.
