Hello!

About Me

  • Thank you so much for visiting me in the Attic, it's lovely to see you. My name is Lucy and I'm a happily married Mum with three children. We live in a cosy terraced house on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales in England which we are slowly renovating and making home. I have a passion for crochet and colour and love to share my creative journey. I hope you enjoy your peek into my colourful little world x

Hi Lucy,

I'm your secret reader and loved reading your Yarndale reports and crochet stuffs too. Almost every weekdays I'm visiting your blog in the middle of my office routinity. To be honest, at first I found Heather's blog and from there I found yours. Both of you are amazing and make me want to crochet more. I'm a new crocheter and starting to crochet in July 2013. One day I'll make a big blanket like yours and Heather's :)

Love,
Mei

I know there are more much official team Yarndale things to do, maybe planning for another too, but I sense the New Year, new projects and focus feeling in this post. Exciting new post-Yarndale times ahead! X

Wow, Lucy, how can we be anything but impressed. The colors were beautiful, the yarn plentiful, and I'm sure the visitors enjoyed it immensely. You should be enormously proud of what you and the others accomplished! Glad you have had a chance to get re-energized and that you are feeling better. Hugs. xxoo. JO

Hooley Dooley. Amazing!!! I'm not surprised you were shell shocked. What an incredible feat, congratulations.

Lucy it all looked fabulous, so wished I could have attended. Thanks so much for the lovely post and glad it was such a success.

Hi Lucy,
I've been so excited about yarndale since you started posting about it. Loved your "view" on it, I've been looking forward to this post. I ordered the yarndale pack, so excited you still had some left after the event, especially with the amazing turnout you had. I am so excited to be able to share in the yarndale experience from the United States, including getting the brochure with the exclusive patterns, love your crochet pattern and am happy to have the crochet bird along with the patterns from the other yarndale members. Loved, loved your lounge, and heathers attic houses were super!!! Betty Sheep, I have loved since you posted on the blog, and I love that she was put onto the tea towel, bag, pin and brochure as she should be, I couldn't think of a better icon (can't think of a different word to use) you see the patchwork sheep you know yarndale!!!!!!

Hugs
René
Looking forward to seeing what will be coming off your hook next.

I feel a bit rhw the same as some of the other... a bit emotional! Such a fantastic achievement for you and the rest of the team. I think there is few greater joys in life than being able to do what you love!

It was a great weekend. I wish I had bought a brochure now. Glad you got to see the Natural Dye Studio stall, wasn't it completely fab? One day I am going to treat myself to some of their beautiful soft, bright yarn. I'll have to use up this years stash first.

Marylin

What an experience for you!!! And a job well done!!! Waiting in anticipation to see what you are up to in the Attic these days. Hugs, MO

Hooray for Lucy and Yarndale. Looks marvelous!

Natural Dye Studio is my very favorite yarn dyer and supplier.
They have such a wide variety of yarn types---all hand dyed. Sure hope you bought some of their yarn. Angel and Dazzle HT are my favorites. I belong to a couple of their monthly clubs and so enjoy them. My current favorites are the 1) mini skien monthly club and the 2) rainbow club.

What a great round-up of a very successful Yarndale, sadly I wasn't there but I do have a bag and brochure on the way as compensation! Great picture of you, I had it saved from another blog as I can see 3 of my bunting triangles on your table. Roll on Yarndale 2014 - I'll be there.
