About Me

  • Hello! Thank you so much for visiting me in the Attic, it's lovely to see you. My name is Lucy and I'm a happily married Mum with three children. We live in a cosy terraced house on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales in England which we are slowly renovating and making home. I have a passion for crochet and colour and love to share my creative journey. I hope you enjoy your peek into my colourful little world x

Yarndale was great today Lucy, well done to you and the team. I was going to drop by the knit and natter for a proper chat following our brief hello first thing but there was such a sea of people I retreated back to the Embroiderers' Guild to finish my stint!! Brilliant idea, heard nothing but praise from people. Sally x

Oh my goodness, Yarndale has been amazing! I believe a lot of the visitors have made the trek because of you Lucy so well done.
I have had visitors on my stand who have come from Spain, Portugal and Holland as well as the far reaches of the UK and all are quoting your name!!!!!

Hi Lucy!!! We were at Yarndale today, A MAZ ING!!!!!!
What a job you have done, it's truly remarkable and sooooooo inspiring. It was so lovely to meet you at last since you taught us both to crochet. We have no idea how you find the time to do half of what you do. Enjoy a well deserved break after all the hard work ans excitement. See you again tomorrow.

Hello Lucy

Absolutely wonderful!!! Talk about bringing people together!!! The bunting is a fabulous idea. I feel quite "chuffed" that my fishes, whale and sun on blue" bunting will be hanging there with all the rest . I get the feeling there is a little tiny bit of me there participating in Yarndale too!
Have a great time!

hiya, really looking forward to visiting on Saturday. so lucky I live near enough to drive over. Good luck with everything. I'm sure it is going to be fantastic. Try to make sure you enjoy it and not stress. It will be amazing. xx

Helen

It all looks so pretty pretty pretty! Just gorgeous!

(.....I almost daren't ask but....how is the bunting connected? Are they attached to each other or are they hanging on something?)

Stephanie

Is it only me? I hit the Yarndale link and it comes up link not found. Would like to know more even though I am on the west coast of Canada.

Deborah

Enjoy your weekend, Lucy! I wish you all the best. xxxxx

Chel C

Good luck Lucy! The hardest part is preparation and you have got through that along with some fantastic helpers. Enjoy! xx

I'm starting off very early and getting the train, so no problems with parking. The train is a bit less than the price of fuel. I'd loved to have stayed but am afraid I left it too late as I think most of the places were taken.

I'm so excited I hope I'm going to be able to see your lovely studio, can't wait.

Kate

Have a wonderful weekend, hope the sun shines and lots of people come along- how could they resist seeing the bunting? The bunting is a wonderful 'web' project- you put out a request into the ether and back comes all of that...amazing and lovely! I'll see you next time!x

Janna

I agree with Tammy...where can I find a pair of those shoes? I love them...and of course I love all of the yarn-goodness. It all looks so inviting and cozy!

Zorana

It all looks wonderful, and the bunting is amazing. Looking forward to lots and lots of pictures:). Good luck and have fun at Yarndale!

Abi

Too far away to come - as much as I would love to - but the very best of luck with everything. I know it will be wonderful! :)

Jules Francis

All looking fantastic. Must be amazing seeing all your hard work coming together. Hope you won't be too exhausted to enjoy it all too. I was lucky enough to pop to the kit and natter with my daugther this morning at the cafe. What a lovely crowd and Tracy was so welcoming. We had a great time and got alittle every so excited at being able to actually go into your studio and see it all in the flesh! Wow full of loads of beautiful things. All very inspiring and exciting. Can't wait for tomorrow. Sleep well!

All the best for Yarndale this weekend! So sad to be across the pond and not able to attend. Looks like it is going to be a fabulous weekend.
