About Me

  • Thank you so much for visiting me in the Attic, it's lovely to see you. My name is Lucy and I'm a happily married Mum with three children. We live in a cosy terraced house on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales in England which we are slowly renovating and making home. I have a passion for crochet and colour and love to share my creative journey. I hope you enjoy your peek into my colourful little world x

wow, what a vision fulfilled. Once word gets out you will soon need an even bigger space. Wish I was in the UK to see it but alas, I am in Prince George, Virginia. Your color palette is so vibrant and happy.

It is great place, Lucy! So lovely and cozy. I would like to come... but it is sooo far from me, unfortunately.

Have a great time, Jolana

Lovely....the whole building...cafe.....studio....lovely. I planned to come but couldn't get a bus (right, I live in Washington State, USA). But I would have been there. You will be a success with your studio. It has just the right feel to it. There will be many cozy creations as a result. Congratulations!

I just wanted to tell you how much I love your blog and all your beautiful works. I have been reading/following for quite a while and just have never said anything before... I felt though that now was a good time. Your open studio night looks like it was quite wonderful, congratulations! I hope things continue to go well for you both!

Hi Lucy, Well done to both you and Tracey!!!Hard work always pays off!!!I am so privileged to have been a part of this wonderful endeavor of yours!!!Looking forward to see it grow and grow!!!Have a wonderful weekend!!!

WOW - Lucy you must be so proud of yourselves! I would love to have attended, but distance prevented it ... however I did manage to convince my mum to pop in (although she probably didn't mention it as she's a little shy!), she said it was buzzing and beautiful and so friendly - huge congrats! Hopefully next time (there will be another won't there?!?) it will be during a school holiday when I'm visiting - hint hint!! Anyway, I hope you are high on success and feeling more positive again ...

P.s. I know you are a fellow elderflower cordial fan, so thought I'd mention that I just made some pretty labels to download - I made a few bottles to give as gifts when visiting friends and they've gone down a storm!

Every picture oozes a creative calm.. You've got a lovely studio!

Congratulations to both Lucy and Tracy on a successful Studio Event! It was so great to see the tour of the Studio and I see something new and wonderful every time I look at the photos that I didn't notice before! I love Tracy's angels and her Mill Mice are so adorable! And your workstation is the true image of what I want to create for myself one day, permitted we get enough space for it on our next move. Food looks delicious and so does the yarn/fabric wares. Ooooh you always make me want to run to my crochet after reading your posts! I wish you a happy weekend ♥

I am thrilled for you both - I can imagine how excited you must have been and still are. Congrats! Best wishes from Canada and I look forward to my next virtual visit!

So glad it went so BRILLIANTLY and thank you ever so much for sharing all of it with us! I am simply bowled over by everything and will have to spend much more time looking carefully at the photos and finding all the little treasures in them.

Well done girls, and congratulations on your wonderful space! x

So pleased it went so well for you- I never doubted it would! You certainly had a way better Open Studio experience than I did this year- two weeks and a total of 15 visitors- this included one dog and a toddler...well done you!x

What a beautiful space you have made. It looks like you had a fantastic time. I wish I lived a little closer...Congratulations x

Congratulations Lucy and Tracy!

I'm so glad it went well. Thank you for your pictoral tour, it really is a lovely space.

I wish I live in York now...but I don't. Have to look at your pictures here, your colours and your nice Lucy-crocheting...

Hi Lucy, congratulation about your new beginging in your life. I would be happy if I was there. I love your studio and your crochet creations. Good luck. Marieta

It's so lovely - what a great expression of your love of colour and joy! Reading your post and seeing the lovely pictures was almost like being there! I'm not in the UK but pleased to see that folk from my hometown (Nottingham) were amongst your visitors.

I enjoy your blog very much - your writing is so warm and welcoming, and gives us a real sense of what you like and how you live. I admit to feeling wistful sometimes, so evocative are your photos and your words. It's a life that has passed me by (husband, children, country life) but I so enjoy how beautifully you render it.

beautiful studio and delicious food! So happy for you, and I can feel how happy were people there. You've done great job, Lucy! And Tracy too. You deserve to be famous and be known, you already are!
Sending all warmth and best wishes to you! Be happy and enjoy your new ventures!

Wow. I love, love, love your studio. so beautiful, so sweet, so colorful. I would love to come for a chat.
